"Dimensional Wormhole?"
Hearing a completely new term, Luca naturally chose to ask without shame.
The Ancient One did not hide anything and directly explained.
"That's right, Dimensional Wormhole."
"Hmm, with your intelligence, you can understand this as a gate from another World to Earth."
"Meaning, this is still a completely new, unowned Dimensional Wormhole, otherwise, who knows what dangerous things might come out of it!"
Hearing the Ancient One talk about his intelligence, Luca only felt his teeth itch.
Apparently, his disguised identity as a genius inventor was not effective in front of this powerful figure.
However, from the Ancient One's words, Luca also noticed another problem.
"Sorcerer Ancient One, since you are so concerned about these other-World passages, even rushing to an harmless unowned Dimensional Wormhole immediately, then why were you... indifferent to the major incident in New York and the portals opening all over the World?"
Luca wasn't questioning the Ancient One because of the casualties in New York; this Sorcerer Supreme, who had served for hundreds of years, had protected Earth countless times.
He was just curious, after all, in terms of danger, an invasion by otherworldly creatures was indeed no small matter.
But upon hearing Luca's words, the Ancient One still looked at him with the same disrespectful, 'you're an idiot' expression.
"You need to understand one thing: spatial portals, otherworldly invasions, and Dimensional invasions are not the same thing."
"And! What do you think I've been busy with lately?!"
"Don't you know that the troubles you superheroes cause are sometimes much more dangerous than that fool Dormammu?"
"I'm already so busy, and you have to create a Dimensional Wormhole at this time. I think this broken Earth will be riddled with holes by you guys sooner or later!"
The more she spoke, the more agitated the Ancient One seemed, and even her 'body' began to show'stuttering animation' like afterimages.
Only then did Luca realize that the Ancient One in front of him did not seem to be her true body, but rather some highly advanced projection clone.
It made Luca want to reach out and touch it, wondering how such a projection clone could sit on a chair.
Hmm, but he didn't dare.
At this moment, he could only say softly with some embarrassment:
"Uh, actually, Stark and I aren't exactly on the same side; we're not really superheroes."
However, as soon as he said that, the Ancient One directly raised her hand and pointed impatiently.
The monitor next to them immediately lit up, displaying the latest news report about the second Battle of New York.
In the news broadcast, an exquisitely beautiful female anchor was speaking eloquently.
"In this incident, our superheroes once again successfully repelled all the aliens invading Earth, protecting our home, and we can also see that compared to the last Battle of New York, more new faces have joined the great cause of protecting humanity."
As she spoke, the screen changed, showing the scene of the Husky Mech brutally beating Loki during the giant projected 'play' above New York, and even more.
Scenes of the Husky Mech battling a Frost Giant, a boxer clearing out Dark Elves, and even Ghost Spider saving citizens all flashed by one by one.
He didn't know what kind of thought process these U.S. people had; even during the most intense parts of the battle, some people weren't focused on escaping but instead took out their phones to record these events.
Not only was the footage very clear, but it also fell into the hands of the media so quickly.
Facing the Ancient One's direct evidence, Luca could only show an embarrassed smile again.
"So, Sorcerer Ancient One, you've been busy preventing invasions from parallel timelines during this period? That's really..."
Originally, Luca wanted to say a few more flattering words.
However, just as he finished the first half of his sentence, the Ancient One in front of him directly shook her head.
"Can't stop it!"
At this point, the Ancient One's expression seemed to become a bit more serious.
"The barriers between Worlds are currently weakening."
"And Loki's actions are like opening two huge holes in this glass dome that is on the verge of collapse. Now this glass dome is covered with cracks, and it's impossible to completely repair it."
"All I can do is temporarily plug these cracks with more glue, but even that requires all the mages of Kamar-Taj to work together to barely achieve it."
"Currently, when we patch the East, the West leaks. This will be an endless task."
Hearing the Ancient One's seemingly calm tone, Luca's pupils immediately constricted, and he asked in disbelief:
"Is this World going to be destroyed?"
"Ah? Who said that?"
The Ancient One looked at Luca with an expression of 'don't talk nonsense, kid,' which made Luca somewhat confused.
"Didn't you just say..."
"Did I say that? The World barrier is just becoming fragile, how can the World be destroyed so easily?"
Luca immediately breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.
His current development was going great, and Stark was even planning to invest a billion dollars in his new company later.
It would be too much of a loss if the World were to be destroyed before he could spend all that money.
However...:
"The World barrier becoming fragile at most means there will be more otherworldly invaders, Dimensional Demon Gods will come more frequently, and, well, some demons from the Hell Dimension might occasionally run out, but how is that as scary as you say? World destruction? If it's going to be destroyed, it'll have to wait until I, an old woman, retire and Strange takes over, alright!"
"This is already very scary!!!"
Luca roared in his heart.
But due to the power gap between himself and the powerful figure, he ultimately didn't dare to say any more nonsense.
And when the Ancient One saw Luca clenching his teeth and remaining silent, she immediately felt a bit bored.
These kids nowadays are really no fun to tease!
"Don't worry, it's still being repaired, isn't it?"
"And, with your unowned Dimension, the subsequent patching and repair progress will be lighter... hmm, faster!"
You were trying to say 'easier', weren't you!! Hey! I heard that!
Looking at the Ancient One's very casual attitude, it was clear that the old woman really didn't take things like otherworldly invasions, Dimensional Demon Gods, or demon attacks too seriously.
Immediately, feeling a bit disheartened, he pushed the Hex Core on the table towards her and said weakly:
"Since you can use it, then quickly take it away. If it stays with me, who knows what kind of World-ending crisis might happen..."
Hearing Luca say this, the Ancient One, who was merely a projection, directly reached out and picked up the Hex Core, which was emitting a blue light.
After examining it for a few moments, she placed it back on the table and said casually:
"We agreed to a trade, hmm, but the trade item I prepared earlier was used up. I wonder if you are satisfied with this thing?"
