"Where are we going?" Alexis finally began talking as she was out of her stupor. This is becoming a habit of hers, losing her state of mind every time this man is around.
"We're almost there," he replied simply, focusing on the road as he was driving the car.
It was Alexis's first time inside his car with the owner himself. Last time he asked one of his staff to drop her home. That memory wasn't that pleasant because of the argument about money they had at that time.
Alexis thought about resting the day away at home because that's the most she misses while working. The last three months were hectic and she needed a rest away from any human connection, at least that's what she thought.
