(Pov Satoshi)

I had just finished my fight with Kenjaku when I noticed the danger Choso was in. He was stuck in a layer of ice, and Eso was bleeding out in front of him. I rush over and drop-kick Urauame, launching them through the nearby wall. I looked down as Choso began cradling his brother's body. I could faintly see him still breathing, which meant it wasn't too late, hopefully.
"Grab him and bring him outside, find Nitta, he's average height, blond hair, he can stop it from getting worse," I said before, rushing off to find Yuji. It didn't take long, though, as soon after I began moving, the lights flickered, and it felt like reality paused for a moment before a massive wave of pressure shot out from a nearby corridor, followed by a blurry figure being launched across the station.
Following soon after, three figures emerged: Yuji, Todo, and Junpei, each of them looking straight ahead, completely locked onto the spot where the figure from earlier had landed. Looking closer, I could see that it was Mahito, at least what was left of him, as most of his body had been destroyed and was either missing completely or smashed beyond recognition.
What caught my attention was Kenjaku standing above the broken curse with a look of satisfaction on his face.
"Oh my, how troubling. Should I save you, Mahito?" He asked in a voice dripping with excitement.
This whole thing felt wrong. I had changed things. Kenjaku didn't have control over Suguru's body or technique, yet he still seemed so sure, almost as if he had been expecting this. I had always assumed that most of the plan happening through the story was due to luck. That he got lucky: a Heavenly Restricted Toji killed the star plasma vessel, severing the fate connecting them to Tengen, and similarly, it was luck that Satoru hadn't properly destroyed Suguru's body, allowing Kenjaku to take it.
The whole series of events felt like a string of good luck for the antagonists, nudged by an author trying to tell a story with stakes. I hadn't considered that there might be alternatives that had been thought of. I was wrong, though. Whatever was going on in that head of his, it was clear that even his backup plans had back-ups, and we had just played our parts.
He was still going to subjugate Mahito; he just needed the curse to be as weak as possible beforehand. It wasn't usually possible to control a curse; the only one who had the ability was Suguru with his Cursed Spirit Manipulation, but there was an alternative one that Toji and I had used.
If you were strong enough and could exert your will on a weak curse, it could be controlled. That was how I was able to use the worm. It was technically a curse, and yet it followed my commands, and before it had followed Toji. It was because the difference in strength allowed our will to dominate the curses.
It should be impossible to do on any curse above Grade Four, and yet, with the damage Mahito had taken and Kenjaku's own mastery of Jujutsu, it was enough of a gap.
Before Mahito could respond, Kenjaku placed his hand on the curse's head, and those terrified eyes went blank. The curse froze in place, no longer having control of its own body, and its will had been overwritten.
"I must thank you all for the assistance, but unfortunately, our time here must come to an end." He said before turning to Mahito and waving his hand towards the curse. Mahito placed his hands on the ground, and a massive purple symbol began to glow beneath them.
His voice rang out dull, lacking the sinister tone he almost always used. "Idle Transfiguration." The moment he finished, the symbol grew stronger, and the entire city felt as if it were rumbling slightly. Mahito also seemed to regain control as the glassy look in his eyes withdrew, replaced by hatred and a small amount of fear.
"I knew this would happen, I was born from you humans after all." He said before moving, trying to reach Kenjaku. Though he never made it, Kenjaku brought his hand out and fired a beam of pure cursed energy, obliterating the curse and leaving behind a patch of scorched ground.
"How unpleasant but ultimately inconsequential." He said before turning to us. "You have all played your parts well, I must thank you truly, but now things are about to become much more exciting."
The ceiling blew apart as Urauame reappeared with other curse users, and in the sky, that same glowing symbol could be seen, and not just one. There seemed to be dozens floating in the air at random.
"What do you think, Sukuna? The world of Heian is beginning once again." He said before stepping back toward the new group. As he turned, I noticed the prison realm cube, partially hidden within his robes, and dashed at him.
If I could get the prison realm and free Satoru, this whole thing would become much easier. I charged past Urauame and the others directly at Kenjaku. He seemed surprised for a moment as he finally noticed my approach. He tried to turn, but that only gave me a clear shot, and my fist flew outwards, striking him in the gut.
As he reeled back, my extended hand began searching, and I quickly found where he had been keeping the box. I grabbed it and almost recoiled instantly. The thing was really gross. I had expected a solid box, but it felt like flesh, shockingly warm and heavy. That was most likely the result of Satoru being the one sealed inside, similar to how he had changed his eyes to a bright blue.
Still, despite how gross it felt, I grabbed the box and pulled away while Kenjaku was still reeling from my attack. I began running quickly, making my way back to the group and urging them to run as well. This situation had gone from not great to nightmare in just a few minutes, but if we could escape from the prison realm, everything would be fine.
(Pov Kenjaku)
Gojo Satoshi really was a monster. Despite my own confidence, our fight earlier had been incredibly dangerous for me, and without this ability to make clone illusions, I surely would have died. Now he had managed to grab that box and escape before I could even react, my stomach was still reeling from that punch of his, even with reinforcement.
Truly a monster.
'If only I could possess such a body. I can only imagine the strength from a heavenly restricted body infused with cursed energy.' I thought to myself.
Urauame made to follow, but I held out my hand, stopping her. "There is no need for that. I have put precautions in place for such an occurrence." I said.
I knew that even if Gojo Satoru's sealing were successful, it would not last, as Satoshi possessed the Inverted Spear of Heaven, which would be more than enough to open the rear to the prison realm. Sooner or later, Satoru would have been unsealed, but with the box in hand, they would assume it was easy to set him free.
"Enjoy your small victory, Satoshi, and get ready, the games are about to begin."
