"What happened?" Delfina demanded as soon as the call connected.
"Funds are missing."
Delfina's blood ran cold.
"Mr. Costa has been using some of the company's funds to gamble to get more benefits but he lost. About fifty million dollars is missing."
Delfina almost staggered back from the amount of money her mole mentioned.
Fifty million dollars was a lot of money. Even a fool wouldn't use that amount of money to gamble. And worst, why would Filippo gamble with the company's funds?
"Is he right there at his office?" She asked.
"He is."
"I'm coming." Then, she hung up on the call.
"What happened?" Lux asked, a faint frown settling on his face.
Delfina pocketed her phone before she replied.
"I have to go to the Costa Company. Filippo has some explaining to do."
Thankfully, they were on break so George wouldn't be searching for her anytime soon.
Before Lux could ask a few more questions, Delfina already moved towards the car.
