Somewhere…
Dominic walked into the torture room, the cries of a man filling his ears.
He opened the door and stepped inside, his gaze settling on the man tied to a chair. The room was dimly lit, but he could still see the men surrounding the captive. A few of them held torture tools like chains, a saw, and a knife, all stained with blood.
The man on the chair looked like he was close to death, his body nearly drained of the last drop of blood he had left. A few bandages covered some cuts, but the deeper wounds had been left open.
"Sir," the man in the chair called out with the little strength he had left. "I didn't do anything. I promise. I would never betray The Order."
Dominic did not respond immediately.
He glanced at Carlo, who stood with his hands in his pockets and a smirk on his lips as he stared at the man he claimed was the traitor.
