"Celeste," he called, as if unsure she was the one he was seeing.
"Arturo." Celeste smiled.
Both of them stared at each other, still unable to believe their eyes.
Mr. Silvestri walked towards her, his step unsteady and rushed, as if he needed to close the gap between them else a calamity would befall him.
Dominic had already informed him about her being awake but had refused to let her stay in the mansion because of Mrs. Silvestri's minions who were still around.
"What are you doing here?" He asked her.
Celeste glanced around the house before answering.
"Dominic told me about what happened to Glinda. She was kidnapped."
Mr. Silvestri shook his head. "She was not kidnapped."
Her eyebrows creased in confusion so he shook his head lightly.
"Let's not talk about that. Come inside with me."
Arturo stretched out his hand for Celeste.
She looked down at it, considering taking it.
