The words that came out of Lana's mouth were exactly what Elara expected. There was only one thing those "breeding dogs" ever wanted from her.
Lana stayed quiet for a few seconds. The only sound in the office was the slow, steady tick of the clock. Then, an amused smile pulled at her lips.
"Is it because of my cousin?"
Elara's eyes snapped wide for a split second before narrowing into slits. Seeing that reaction, Lana let out a light laugh.
"Oh, god...please don't tell me you don't know that?" As there was no reaction from Elara, Lana sighed as if she were disappointed. "I can't believe she hid that from you."
The words hit Elara like a physical blow. She glanced toward the twins, her eyes demanding to know how they had missed this. But Judy and Jullian looked just as stunned as she was.
