Alex woke early today and started working on the blueprint for the MS. Although the three prototypes will require three different blueprints, there will only be slight modifications due to armaments, but the basic frame will remain the same for all of them. According to Alex's opinion, his MS will only use two rapid-fire MS beam weapons while the shield is attached to the left arm's external connection port to be used. As for Eric, his MS will feature two large beam cannons, which will be mounted on the bottom when transformed, just like Alex's beam weapons. As for Steve, his MS will be fitted with wire-guided beam turrets mounted on both shoulders and carry a standard high-power beam weapon and shield. When transformed into MA, the wire-guided beam turrets will be on both sides.
Alex also removed the Scylla 580mm multi-phase beam cannon completely, and also the Aegis attack transformation form, as he thought it was a waste of time, and also makes the MS operation complex, as simply using the MA for rapid attacks and high speed movement, and the MS for more regular combat makes it easier for the pilots. He also added additional missile pods on the shoulder for both his and Steve's.As for Eric's MS, In their place, he add extra battery pack in the same missile pods in place of missiles to support the Large beam cannon's prolonged use. Even though these cannons have a battery pack of their own.
The MA transformed form was based on the Aegis, Astray Black, and Also Kyrios. So the MA form was capable of flight in Earth's atmosphere without needing any support vehicles or backpacks. It was already mid afternoon by the time Alex was done with designs although he will have to continually perfect these designs regarding the thrusters placing the tuning of the variable farm so that it will not effect the durability of the MS on the long run and the degree of PS armor need to be used in the joints for the MS and the movable frame to make the transformation smoother and faster.
Just then, he received a call from James informing Alex that he already talked to Patrick about meeting him at the beginning of March. Also told Alex that he asked for permission to meet the desert tiger and modify his LaGOWE, which Alex wanted. Now Alex can go to meet Andrew without having to worry about unnecessary complications, but he still needs Andrew's approval to really modify the MA, as Patrick said he will only tell Andrew about it and let Andrew decide if Alex will be allowed to modify it.
James asked, "Alex, why do you need to modify the MA for the desert tiger? Although you stayed in the Archangel for some time, you don't need to go to the desert tiger for them, right?"
Alex said, " Dad you are misunderstanding my intentions, the Archangel doesn't our help with the Strike and Aegis it can easily reach Alaska without our help and i want to modify the MA for Andrew only to test the different alloy materials in a real situation besides we will only modify outside the cockpit with the alloys from ours to check them as i believe it will be very useful to figure out the damage it can take in the field before deciding if we need to improve our alloy again or not."
Alex said, " Dad i am going to Banadiya now in a high-speed flight. Just send the technicians and alloys for the modification. As for the desert tiger i will convince him of the modification. "
James said, " OK i will arrange them, but the materials might arrive tomorrow. As for the technicians, they will reach by the time you reach there, as the distance is not much different and might even reach sooner, as they start from the company's airport."
Alex said, " OK, it's no problem if the materials are delayed, as we will first need to assess and disassemble the LaGOWE, which can be done today."
After talking to James, Alex called Arthur, Eric, and Steve to meet him at the airport to leave for Banadiya. After some time, Alex and other final left Orb and reached Banadiya after a one-hour flight, where they met with Andrew Waltfeld, and Alex talked to Andrew and convinced him for allowing to modify the MA LaGOWE. When the engineers arrived, Alex had them disassemble and analyze the MA, along with the different alloys to be used for the modification, along with sensors to monitor their performance, and a Black box to store the data. While Alex's team was here dismantling the MA, the fate of Archangel was almost the same as that of Desert Dawn and Kira, engaging the ZAFT forces in retaliation for the attack by Andrew.
Alex saw that he was not need after the general instruction and decided to open his personal terminal to continue working on the blueprints so that they can be delivered to James on 21st or 22nd so that the prototypes basic inner frames and and PS armor parts for the frames can be made as for the outer armor he can wait until 28th February which is the day for the Archangel final battle with Andrew and his LaGOWE so that he can collect the data. Although he is modifying the MA because he wants to increase the safety of the pilots and help Andrew not lose his lover, Aisha, he also decides to actually see the data from the sensors to decide the outer armor alloy for the prototypes.
Alex also talked to Andrew that he will be staying here till the first week of March and go to plants from here to meet Patrick Zala, as it is easier for the ZAFT shuttles to get to plants faster without tedious checks and all.
A few days later, Andrew was attacked by Blue Cosmos and saved by Kira, and he brought Kira and Cagalli to his house, but Alex avoided meeting them so as not bring too many changes to the timeline. After Andrew had a debate with Kira and Cagalli about war and life, he sent them back.
Alex was once again busy with his work on the blueprints for the MS prototypes, but also followed up on the situation of the modifications and was told it would be done in another 3 days. After confirming there won't be any delays in the MA for Andrews battle, Alex was without worry.
Finally, on the evening of the 21st, he completed the blueprints and sent them to James with Arthur, and told Arthur to oversee the development of parts for the Archangel class Battleship while also telling him to take note of what improvements could be made to them in the future to make them more survivable.
After sending Arthur he then started to work on the what materials to use to make the improvements he thought for the Archangel class thrusters and also started to work on how to remake the Archangel engine without effecting the existing layout for power transfer while also improving the engine to using Hydrogen fuel cells for power generation which will provide faster and more efficient energy than the current conventional engine in the Archangel.
Time flew by, and it was time for the final battle in the desert, and Andrew received reinforcement, though not the BuCUE's he requested he was compensated with the Duel, Blitz, Buster and Tactical air reconnaissance type GINN after asking about the new GINN pilot Alex learned that it's pilot was Rusty and thought of a plan to save Nicol as for Rusty he could only leave it to his luck and reflex's in emergency.
Andrew, who didn't receive what he requested and had to take care of these new additions who aren't even familiar with Earth combat, felt a headache but still arranged for them to be on the deck of Lesseps for the fight, as they couldn't keep up with the speed of BuCUE's and his LaGOWE.
Yzak was unhappy with the arrangements and was about to argue with Andrew when Dearka stopped him, saying that once the battle started, there would be many opportunities. So the members of the Creuset team were arranged by Andrew to be on Lesseps for the fight with the Archangel. Alex, knowing the troubles during the battle Left the Lesseps and started observing the battle from afar in the special jeep he arranged for himself and the other technicians who were here to retrieve the black box for the data of the new alloys. While the ZAFT was preparing for the attack, Alex was also preparing to send the technicians back after the war with the black box, so he called James to arrange a transport plane with vertical take-off ability to be sent to receive the technicians and go back to the company headquarters so that the data could be secured and analyzed.
