Chapter 99 - Chapter 99: Second visit to 【prison】, team advancement!

Shawn opened his eyes.

Seeing the big black face that came into view, he couldn't help but be startled, and his hand uncontrollably clenched into a fist and punched out.

Whoosh—!

T-Dog quickly stepped back.

He looked at Shawn's empty punch, still feeling a lingering fear.

"Damn it, are you that violent even when you're sleeping?!"

"Who told you to sneak up next to me without a sound?"

Shawn propped himself up, putting on his outer clothes piece by piece over his muscular upper body.

"Wu, how strong are you now?"

"That punch just now, I felt like the wind it generated was almost enough to bruise my skin."

Seeing that Shawn was completely awake, T-Dog couldn't help but lean closer again, poking Shawn's arm with his finger, looking enviously at Shawn's muscles.

"Really?"

Shawn got dressed, then turned around and stared carefully at T-Dog's completely black face, examining it again and again.

"Even if it were bruised, you wouldn't be able to tell."

Shawn couldn't help but chuckle.

"Shawn!" T-Dog looked at him somewhat annoyed.

"Alright, alright, I won't say anything more."

Shawn suppressed his laughter and led T-Dog all the way to the first-floor cafeteria.

After eating a few pieces of dry, limp instant bacon and some cereal, Shawn sat opposite Rick.

Shawn turned and gave a look.

Shane, Daryl, Merle, Glenn, and others gathered around.

This time, Shawn called Maggie instead of Carol.

Shawn thought about it again and again, and still decided to give Carol a process of adaptation.

He couldn't teach her to kill small monsters yesterday and then have her participate in a team battle today, could he?

Moreover, what they were going to kill today were special individual Walkers.

Given the current intensity, it was quite suitable for her; they would take it slowly.

"Alright, yesterday we roughly cleared the outdoor recreation area outside the Prison."

"Each recreation area had no more than 15 Walkers left."

"As for the large gates connecting the recreation areas, we will figure out a way to block them later."

"Now, we have more important things to do."

As Shawn spoke, he drew a map from memory.

This map was more complete than the last one; Shawn tried to draw every detail of the places he had actually been to.

Holding the pencil, Shawn drew a heavy mark on the last locked door in Block B.

"This is the area we arrived at then."

Rick recognized it at a glance.

"That's right." Shawn nodded.

"This time is different from last time; we can bring more people in."

Shane looked around and said with certainty.

Last time, he said he would separate from Shawn to avoid the horde, but in reality, Shawn had drawn away most of the horde, which allowed him to have a chance to escape.

This feeling of escaping alone had annoyed Shane for a long time.

So this time, Shane didn't want the story to repeat.

If they went in together, they should come out together.

"We'll go with you." Daryl answered directly for Merle without even being asked.

"Not just you, all the combat backbone present must go in."

Shawn rolled his eyes.

'Do these guys really think I'm still going to be foolish and go in alone?'

The last trip to the Prison basically convinced Shawn of the necessity of a team.

No matter how strong one person was, he would not be able to deal with thousands, tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of Walkers in the future.

Not to mention the Blood Moon's enhancement and other survivors in addition to that.

And it just so happened that this time, they would thoroughly clear out the hidden dangers in the Prison, and Shawn wanted to see everyone's progress during this time.

"Shawn, you say it, we'll follow you." Glenn said softly.

Maggie and Glenn

"This time, it's a team operation with a large number of people, and the Prison passages are narrow, so we need a basic formation."

"T-Dog, Shane, Jim, Otis, you wear full protective suits and stand at the very front with riot shields."

"Merle, Daryl, I need you to watch our rear and be ready to support the front at any time."

"Rick, Maggie, Glenn, you follow me in the middle."

"Using the gaps in the riot shields, try to use cold weapons to resolve the fight."

Shawn unceremoniously began to assign positions to everyone present.

After going through a rotation, Shawn drew everyone's attention back to himself, emphasizing.

"Remember, there aren't many Walkers left in the Prison area and passages."

"But there are still some strange Walkers of various forms."

"So I only have one requirement for everyone—steadiness!"

"You must be steady, advance steadily, and push forward slowly; we are not short on time."

Shawn did not set a time limit for this final cleanup operation, as it would only increase everyone's sense of urgency without any other effect.

If one day wasn't enough, then two days; if two days weren't enough, then a week.

The specific time would depend on the situation inside.

In any case, the Prison would be their territory sooner or later, so there was no need to rush too much.

After receiving everyone's affirmative reply, Shawn told them to go pack their gear, and everyone headed to Block C for assembly.

Prison Block C.

Oscar and Big guy leaned against the second floor of a cell in Prison Block C.

They looked somewhat astonished at the Fully Armed group, who resembled a small army.

They held cold weapons and firearms tightly in their hands, covered in thick armor, full of fighting spirit!

At the very front of the team, Shawn suddenly looked up, smiled at the two, and then waved.

Big guy swallowed hard and walked to Shawn with Oscar.

Shawn raised his hand and swung a fist towards him; the two subconsciously closed their eyes.

After a while, the imagined pain did not appear.

Opening their eyes, they only saw Shawn opening his palm, with a string of small keys hanging from his palm.

"After we go in, help us watch the door, and when we come back, help us open it for us."

"This is your task today."

Shawn went straight to the point.

He didn't even hide that this was actually one of their tests.

The situation inside the Prison was not urgent at the moment, but it was enough to reveal people's true intentions.

Similarly, it wasn't enough for Shawn to trust them; they had to act in a way that satisfied Rick, Shane, and the rest of the Camp.

"Understood." Oscar took the keys.

Shawn looked directly at him.

Although his eyes did not show the same clear foolishness as Big guy's, they appeared firm and sincere.

'He wants to join the Prison.'

Shawn could read that in Oscar's eyes.

Nodding at them, Shawn passed through Block B and led the group into the connecting passage between Block B and Block A.

There were bright white emergency lights here, which made it look much more pleasant than when Shawn first arrived here.

Looking along the way, there were bodies lying all over the passage; they all had no heads, blood was splattered on the wall, and flies flew back and forth over the bodies.

Everyone looked at the headless bodies on the ground, then subconsciously turned back to look at Shawn.

"Why are you looking at me?" Shawn looked puzzled.

"Nothing, nothing."

Otis quickly waved his fat hand.

And he kept muttering to himself: "I am a wall, a wall blocking Walkers, I can't see anything…"
