Chapter 101 - Chapter 101: Parseltongue

The boundary between life and death was a blank world.

Everything lost its color, and an nameless light, from an unknown source, fell upon the world.

Subtle shadows became another color, barely outlining the true form of this world, revealing changing staircases, complex corridors, and ancient stone carvings.

The walls were densely covered with picture frames of various sizes. The paintings within were blurred.

A bright mist permeated this world everywhere. In a pure white expanse, a figure stood.

He was the only color in this world, apart from the shadows!

A round, pale head, flat features, a nose that seemed to have been cut away... Riddle looked around. When he saw that the setting was Hogwarts, he sneered dismissively.

Then, he looked down at his naked body. This body was clearly defined, yet wisps of mist floated on its skin.

That was his soul.

They... no, it should be him!

He was currently being pulled by an invisible force.

Thinking of this, a slightly terrifying smile appeared on Riddle's face. He understood that the force pulling him was the Horcrux he had preset in the living world.

He only needed to wait for a period of time, and he would be able to return to the real world.

Just as he was immersed in this joy, footsteps approached.

Riddle's gaze locked onto the direction of the sound. He slightly raised his hand, and a black robe, contrary to this world, enveloped him, constantly fluttering.

From within the mist, a figure slowly appeared... "So, is King Arthur really in Avalon?" Harry asked curiously in the pub.

In Britain, no one had not heard the stories of King Arthur. At this moment, he also showed intense curiosity.

Howl shook his head: "Who knows? We can't even be sure if that's really Avalon... But what's certain is that it's indeed very, very close to death, although I didn't see anything resembling paradise about it."

"Maybe for those who have died, it truly is a paradise," Harry said.

Howl's eyes lit up slightly, and he nodded in agreement: "Well said."

Borgin pulled out the Green Knight stone from his pocket and sighed.

He hadn't expected this stone to become the only evidence of their past journey to that place.

"Alright, we should go," Howl said, finishing his last sip of beer and standing up.

"Be careful on your way," Borgin quickly stood up.

Howl looked at him: "By the way, are you going back to open your shop?"

Borgin shook his head, saying earnestly: "I still have so much I haven't enjoyed. The development of Muggles is changing with each passing day, it's astonishing.

Perhaps I think I need to enjoy it for a few more years."

As he spoke, he suddenly remembered something and quickly added: "Do you need any magic items?"

Howl shook his head, not particularly concerned. He was just casually making small talk. Anything that might interest him at Borgin's he had already seen or taken away.

And he had no interest in items that had fallen out of ancient families. Firstly, he had indeed slowed down the pace of his magic research.

Secondly, if they could fall out, what good things could they be?

Perhaps some rare items were invaluable and highly sought after by other ordinary Wizards.

But for him, they didn't count.

"If I am fortunate enough to encounter anything on my journey, I will contact you," Borgin said.

Howl nodded, then left with Harry, returning to Moonlight Fortress.

Inside the Castle, after Howl returned, he first organized the textbooks needed for various grades and sent them to Professor McGonagall, then walked to the kitchen.

There was much less food, perhaps he needed to go shopping at a nearby supermarket. Thinking this, he looked out the window again.

Outside the window, tree shadows swayed. As they passed through the forest, branches would occasionally tap on the glass, making pleasant sounds. The sky was blue with white clouds, and the air was fresh.

At this moment, the Castle had arrived in Albania, and perhaps it wouldn't be long before they reached Greece.

One of the three ancient magic systems, his main area of study.

He hoped to find some interesting things there.

Thinking this, he turned his head, his eyebrows raised.
