Enid and Wednesday leaned in together, driven by a mix of curiosity and skepticism, and opened the bizarre book titled The Succubus Seduction Guide: Authentic Han Dynasty Edition.
The title of the first chapter made both girls pause.
Chapter 1: The Essence of the Succubus - Love is Sustenance, To Be Loved, First You Must Love
The content that followed slowly morphed their expressions from curiosity into indescribable weirdness.
"Our version of Succubus cultivation does not rely on flashy sorcery. We focus on the principle of 'trading hearts.'
The ancestors said long ago: 'To take, one must first give.'
If you want to use charm to make someone devoted to you, the first step isn't learning how to wink or sway your hips. It's taking out your own heart and honestly loving others!
1. A Succubus is not a 'Demon,' but a 'Seed of Passion'
Don't be fooled by rumors! A true Succubus isn't a monster who sucks life essence to survive, but a master of love who understands 'exchanging love for love.'
You must be like a farmer: first sow the seeds, water, and fertilize them before you can harvest in autumn. Only by being sincere to others will they pour their hearts out to you.
2. Love is the Strongest Charm, Sincerity is the Hard Truth
Hypnosis? Bewitchment? Those are crooked paths! The orthodox Han Dynasty Succubus believes in 'moistening things silently.'
Today you help the neighbor lady carry a bag of rice; tomorrow you buy a candied hawthorn stick for a roadside child. Over time, who wouldn't call you 'kind-hearted'? When you meet someone you truly like, you won't need tricks. They will naturally find you reliable and grounded.
3. Learn to Love Before Being Loved
If your heart is cold as ice, how can you expect others to warm you with fire?
Guide Rule #1: Throw away 'calculation' and hold onto 'sincerity.' If you like someone, treat them well—not the fake kind, but solid, genuine care.
When it's cold, give them a coat; when they're sad, drink with them. Over time, even if you don't say a word, they won't be able to leave you.
Next Chapter Preview: Chapter 2 - Practical Combat: How to Turn 'Sincerity' into a 'Magnet' — Teaching you how to use sincere actions to make people actively approach you!
(This guide will combine Han Dynasty folk cases to detail the ten practical steps of the 'Sincere Charm Technique,' including but not limited to Delivering Warmth, Listening intently, and Shouldering Burdens.)"
Enid blinked her big blue eyes, long eyelashes fluttering like butterfly wings.
She looked up at Wednesday beside her, her tone filled with incredulous confusion:
"Wednesday... is... is this really a Succubus Seduction Guide? Why do I feel like... this is more like... The Self-Cultivation Manual for the Perfect Husband?"
Wednesday quickly scanned the plain, unadorned, almost rural "grand principles" on the page.
Her pale, exquisite face remained expressionless, but a ripple of something called "speechlessness" crossed the depths of her eyes.
Vic watched Enid and Wednesday make faces of disbelief at the Authentic Han Dynasty Edition.
He couldn't help scratching his head, wearing an expression that mixed awkwardness with "I knew this would happen."
"Uh... well..."
Vic tried to explain, fingers unconsciously twisting the hem of his shirt.
"That's exactly what Mavis told me when she taught me. She said this is the most authentic 'Fundamental Mental Cultivation Method' that guarantees you won't lose your mind to evil."
He paused and added: "She also said the later chapters teaching winking and hip-swaying are just supplementary methods. The mental cultivation is the most important part."
"Oh? There are supplementary methods?" Enid's eyes lit up, and she flipped rapidly to the back. Swish, swish, swish.
The Eye Contact Chapter — How to Use Your Eyes so No One Can Refuse Your Request
Eyes are not only the 'windows to the soul' but also silent scepters.
The Authentic Han Dynasty Succubus Way emphasizes 'Transmitting Heart through Eyes, Steering Emotion through Heart.' Through your gaze, precisely convey sincerity, care, and firmness, making it emotionally difficult for others to refuse your request.
"For real? Is it that magical?"
Enid was full of doubt, her small face written with "Are you bluffing me?"
"Have you forgotten the look Vic gave when apologizing on the cruise ship? Someone surrendered in seconds."
Wednesday didn't even look up, her cool voice carrying a trace of imperceptible snark.
"I just wasn't ready! Next time, I definitely won't fall for it!"
Enid blushed slightly, stiffening her neck to argue. She glared at Wednesday unconvinced, hinting pointedly: "Besides, it seems someone else didn't last much longer than I did."
Beside them, the corner of Vic's mouth hooked up into a playful arc.
"Oh? Definitely won't? My dear Enid, are you challenging me?"
"Huh?" Enid looked confused, not quite understanding how the topic jumped to a challenge.
Vic, however, seemed to have ignited some strange competitive spirit. He slapped his thigh hard.
"Fine! I accept your challenge!"
"Hiss—"
The next second, he sucked in a cold breath. His waist was pinched precisely by Wednesday's cold fingers.
"Next time, trouble yourself to slap your own thigh."
Wednesday's voice remained flat, but the force in her fingertips said everything.
Vic rubbed his waist, grimacing, but the excitement in his eyes didn't dim. He leaned close to Enid, lowering his voice with bewitching confidence.
"Bet you I can make you kiss me voluntarily."
Vic puckered his lips and blinked at Enid.
"I will not!"
Enid's face instantly turned as red as a ripe apple. She turned her head away in annoyance, but her heart sped up uncontrollably.
This bad guy, what nonsense is he sprouting again!
"Really?" Vic's voice suddenly dropped, carrying a trace of imperceptible... grievance?
Enid couldn't help but steal a glance at him from the corner of her eye.
She saw Vic looking down slightly. Those peach-blossom eyes, usually twinkling with manic light, were now covered in a faint layer of mist.
The rims of his eyes were slightly red, thick lashes trembling. They were filled with the disappointment and sadness of being rejected by the person he trusted most.
That emotion was almost overflowing, silently pleading: "Can't you give me a kiss?"
This look... is cheating!
Like a giant dog rejected by its owner, ears drooping, wet eyes full of pitiful longing for comfort.
Enid's heart felt like it had been slammed by something soft and sour.
She knew there was a 99% chance he was acting, but the sense of "sincerity" and "fragility" in his eyes pierced straight through the softest part of her heart.
"I... I..."
Enid opened her mouth. Reason told her not to fall for it, but her body involuntarily turned toward Vic, her gaze wavering.
Vic struck while the iron was hot. The disappointment in his eyes deepened, mixed with a hint of self-mockery. He sighed lightly.
As if saying, "I guess I'm not good enough," looking so pitiful it broke the heart.
Enid blushed, mumbling in a voice as quiet as a mosquito.
"There are... other people in the car..."
Just as her voice faded, Valmont in the driver's seat seemed to receive a supreme command. His body stiffened abruptly, and then he reacted with lightning speed!
His right hand shot out like a bolt of lightning. Snap! With a crisp sound, he physically snapped the rearview mirror off and tossed it out the window without looking!
He wasn't done!
Next, he pulled out two pre-prepared, fluffy cotton balls from who-knows-where.
With an attitude almost religious—fearing that a second's delay would ruin the great plan—he deftly and deeply stuffed them into his ears.
Having done all this, Valmont immediately gripped the steering wheel with both hands again, back straight, eyes staring intently at the road ahead.
His face was written with the absolute professionalism and loyalty of: "I am a soulless driving machine; I see nothing, I hear nothing."
The entire sequence was fluid and seamless, taking no more than three seconds.
Enid: "..."
"Fine, just... just one!"
Enid finally surrendered. Blushing, as if making a huge decision, she quickly leaned over and planted a peck on Vic's lips. Then she immediately shrank back into her seat, burying her burning face in her hands, ears red through and through.
"Hehe..."
The sadness on Vic's face vanished instantly, replaced by the brilliant smile of a successful scheme. He raised his eyebrows smugly at Wednesday.
