Mino knelt for two full days before finally finishing the last durian.
When the cubs saw that the durian had split open, they hurried to tell Nina. She came over and stood in front of Mino.
"Mino, that's enough now. You can stop."
During those two days, Nina had tried several times to persuade him to get up, but he refused each time, insisting on kneeling until the very last durian was done.
"Nina… have you forgiven me?" Mino asked softly, looking up at her.
"Get up already," Nina replied gently. "I was never angry with you to begin with. You've punished yourself enough. Let's consider the matter settled."
She reached out to help him to his feet, and only then did Mino allow himself to stand.
"I'll help you back to your room to rest," Nina said.
"Alright." Mino leaned lightly against her shoulder. "Nina… what would you like to eat for lunch?"
Nina couldn't help laughing. "You should focus on resting instead of thinking about cooking."
