A small frown appeared between Nina's brows. "Setan, you… you really don't need to waste your time on me. Let's just pretend that night never happened, alright? I can't take responsibility for you, and you don't need to take responsibility for me either."
She felt that perhaps Setan had simply become too fixated on what happened that night—too obsessed with the idea of "taking responsibility." That was probably why he had chosen to stay.
Heartbreak immediately surfaced in Setan's eyes.
"Nina… why? Is it because I'm not good enough somehow? Tell me, and I'll change."
"No, that's not it." Nina sighed softly. "It's just that you don't need to stay because of responsibility. And besides… don't you already have a female you like? It wouldn't be fair to her either."
Setan froze. "A female I like?"
Nina thought he liked someone else?
"Yes," Nina said. "Didn't you say before that you already had someone you liked?"
He had said it himself that day.
