When Kelsey set foot on the Top Realm, she felt as if she had entered a spiritual realm. There was nothing but the sky above her and the ocean stretching endlessly beneath her feet. In the distance, she spotted a simple pavilion resting upon the ocean's surface.
The threads of energy no longer restrained her movements, allowing Kelsey to walk freely as she followed her mother. Watching her mother's back, she felt a strange mix of familiarity and distance.
When she had encountered her mother's consciousness before, Cassia had transformed her into a child, allowing her to be embraced without hesitation. But now, her mother stood before her as a God King, and Kelsey felt an invisible wall between them—one she didn't know how to climb over or break. More than that, she didn't know whether her mother even wanted it to be broken.
Upon arriving at the pavilion, the God King, Cassia, sat on a round cushion and prepared two teacups and a teapot on a low table.
