Cassia was sweeping the courtyard of the Life Clan sanctuary when she heard several goddesses passing by.
"You're so lucky! Is the War God as handsome as they say?"
"Yes! His hair is beautiful, and his pair of violet eyes makes you want to drown in them."
"Aww… I wanted to see him too. I should have gone with you this morning."
Cassia stopped sweeping, sighed in resignation, and looked up at the sky. "How handsome is he that everyone is still talking about him? And isn't the Moon Clan a major clan? Why would the War God do something that harms a small clan?"
Cassia knew she was being childish, but she couldn't help it. She needed something to vent her frustration and disappointment. She recalled a god who once vented his anger by punching a tree. She walked over to a small tree, glanced around to make sure no one was watching, then clenched her fist and punched the trunk with all her strength. Suddenly, her fist went numb, and blood began to drip.
