Chapter 79 - “The Night Truth Drew Blood”

The laptop screen blurred.

Not because the words disappeared—but because my eyes did.

Tears flooded them so fast I couldn't keep up, couldn't blink them away, couldn't steady myself enough to keep reading.

There were more messages.

I knew it.

More truth. More lies. More things waiting to destroy me completely.

But I couldn't.

I couldn't read another word.

A strangled sound tore out of my throat as I slammed the laptop shut, my hands shaking violently, almost dropping it. My chest heaved. Each breath was sharp, painful, like my lungs were collapsing under the weight of everything inside me.

"No… no…" I whispered, backing away from the desk as if the truth itself might reach out and grab me.

This wasn't real. It couldn't be.

My legs gave out. I sank to the floor, clutching the laptop tightly against my chest—the very thing destroying me.

"My own sister…" My voice broke completely.

A sob ripped through me—raw, ugly, uncontrollable.
