Chapter 58 - 058 Dino & Guy

Issei sat perched on the sofa, lounging with the effortless air of a king.

Raynare worked his shoulders with practiced precision, while Kalawarner peeled fruit for him with the focused obedience of a loyal subject. On his lap, Mittelt sat flirtatiously, leaning into his touch. Issei wrapped his arms around Mittelt's petite frame, relishing the physical sensation with an utter lack of shame—a stark contrast to the stuttering, bashful leads that plague most harem novels.

"Did anything happen while I was away in the Underworld?" Issei asked, his voice calm and commanding.

"No, Master. At the very least, there have been no suspicious movements from terrorists or other-dimensional entities in this city," Raynare replied, her voice dropping into a soft, seductive purr.

"Master, here—have a bite," Kalawarner whispered, leaning in to feed him.

"Mm, good job. Now, I shall give you all your reward."

Without a hint of hesitation, Issei's hand began to roam, firmly grasping Mittelt's small chest.

"Gyaa!"

Mittelt let out a pampered squeal, squirming rhythmically against him.

"Master..." Raynare murmured, pulling Issei's head guidedly toward the valley of her breasts. Issei then pulled Kalawarner closer, capturing her lips in a searing kiss that seemed to melt her very senses.

An ambiguous and heavy atmosphere filled the room. For the next several hours, the chamber remained firmly sealed, and not a single sound escaped to the outside world. Eventually, Issei straightened his clothes, looking down at the fallen angel women with a relaxed, casual gaze.

"Continue to perform your duties well, and I will grant you even more rewards."

"We understand, Master," Raynare managed to reply, her voice weak and heavy with exhaustion. Kalawarner and Mittelt could only offer faint, powerless nods, their energy completely spent.

Issei began drawing a teleportation circle to return to the Underworld. Summer vacation wasn't over yet, and he hoped to cross over to the other side once more before the holidays reached their end.

...

Dino had just arrived at the frozen fortress, met immediately by the polite but cold reception of the two beautiful Primordials, Misery and Rain.

"Welcome, Lord Dino. Lord Guy is expecting you," Misery stated.

"Mm." Dino nodded, following the two Primordials deep into the castle.

Guy was seated upon his throne of ice beside a beautiful, petite woman with long, flowing white hair—Velzard. She sat there with an air of casual indifference. Seeing their intimacy, Dino felt a flicker of awkwardness as he took his seat across from the Demon Lord.

"Dino, how on earth did you make it back in one piece?" Guy asked.

"Ugh, don't even joke about it! I'm never going back to that world again!" Dino raised his voice, making no effort to hide his dissatisfaction.

"Hahaha, calm down. So, what's the situation on the other side? How many 'strong' individuals are we talking about?"

At the question, Dino's face went pale. His body began to tremble as the memory of his vicious battle with Issei resurfaced—a memory of being utterly overpowered. Guy's eyes narrowed, and Velzard looked visibly bothered by Dino's visceral reaction.

"It's full of monsters," Dino whispered. "There are numerous existences there that are likely equal to—or perhaps even greater than—yourself."

Guy's expression shifted to one of absolute gravity.

"Dino, are you joking?"

"Of course not! I wouldn't dare joke about a fight where I was beaten so badly!" Dino snapped.

Guy fell silent, sinking into deep thought.

"Tell me exactly what happened."

Dino swallowed hard before recounting his harrowing experience in the DxD world. By the time he finished, both Guy and Velzard were stunned.

"Gods and Devil Kings... so that is the world system over there?"

Dino nodded weakly.

"That's not all. Certain individuals possess weapons so powerful they can threaten beings like us."

"Weapons?"

"The man who defeated me... a few months ago, he was just an ordinary human. But thanks to a weapon called a Longinus, his power skyrocketed to a level far beyond my own. I worked hard to get this info, you know. You could stand to praise me a bit more."

Guy ignored Dino's plea for validation, his mind fixed on the name.

"Dino, tell me more about these 'Longinus' weapons. You investigated them, didn't you?"

"I did, and I practically staked my life on it. A Longinus is a weapon with the power to slay gods. There are many of them, but I only encountered one—the one belonging to that man."

"..."

"You'll be shocked to hear this, but his Longinus has the ability to double the user's power repeatedly. And the worst part? He wasn't even being serious when he fought me."

"Doubling power? That sounds... absurd," Guy remarked, his voice tinged with skepticism.

"I'm not lying. I'd swear my life on it."

Guy sighed, leaning forward to lock eyes with Dino.

"In your honest opinion... could he increase his power until it surpasses mine?"

Dino went silent, struggling to find the words.

"I... I don't know."

"Is that all you have? You useless scout," Guy muttered.

"Ugh." Dino looked away, unable to offer a rebuttal.

"I think I understand the gist of it," Guy said, his tone grim. "It seems we need to convene a Walpurgis."

Dino nodded in agreement.

"Right. Besides, we need to discuss the response we're going to give them."

Guy leaned back into his throne, glancing at Misery and Rain.

"You two, prepare another banquet."

"As you command, Lord Guy."

"Understood, Lord Guy."
