Chapter 23 - Searching for Medicinal Ingredients Part 1

They walked together toward their inn. Death and Enatur discussed their travel plans.

"Tan City, if I'm not mistaken, is near the Zhun Dark Forest, where we'll search for the Mythical Horn. What do you think, Miss Death?"

"The Xin Wilderness, our first stop to hunt an SSS-rank monster. Then we'll head to Tan City for the Golden Rose Petal. After that, we'll head to Cao Yao City to find the Black Apple, then head to the Zhun Dark Forest to search for the Mythical Horn!"

"Oh, so tomorrow we're going to the Xin Wilderness," said Enatur.

"We'll leave early tomorrow morning!" said Death.

As the night grew late, Enatur and Death soaked in the hot spring together, naked, sitting side by side.

Death stood up and walked slowly out of the pool. "It's almost midnight; you should get some rest."

Enatur scratched his head. "The problem is there's only one bed; I'll sleep on the sofa. You can sleep in the bed."

Death turned around. "You still have the nerve to say that."

Upon entering the room, they saw every corner filled with pink smoke. Enatur and Death didn't notice it, and they accidentally inhaled the pink smoke.

Their libido spiked sharply, their faces flushed, and steam came out of their mouths. Enatur immediately hugged Death from behind.

Their bodies were more sensitive to touch. Death turned around, and they kissed with intense sexual desire. Their breathing felt heavy.

They kissed even deeper. Death pushed Enatur onto the bed; she sat on top of Enatur. They kissed again and had wild sex.

The White Mask Girl floated in the air, gazing toward the room where they were staying.

"The second stage of the love trap is complete. Congratulations on surviving an exciting night, you two!" Her body slowly turned to dust and vanished.

---

It was a sunny afternoon; they were late for their agreed-upon departure time due to last night's love trap tragedy.

The portal opened in the forest. Death and Enatur stepped out of the portal.

Enatur looked around the forest. "We're going to hunt an SSS-rank monster."

"Let's move!" Death said coldly. She walked past Enatur.

A dark and oppressive atmosphere hung over the forest. There were several oddly shaped animals, but they seemed docile.

They then roamed the forest in search of monsters. As they ventured deeper into the forest, several monsters attacked them along the way.

The two of them worked together to easily defeat the monsters. Then they walked while keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings for monster attacks.

Soon after, they spotted a large cave; they entered it carefully. Inside, the cave was inhabited by several monsters, and they slaughtered them.

After exploring the cave for quite some time, they reached the deepest part, where two large, tightly sealed doors stood before them.

With a powerful gust of wind from Death's finger, the massive doors shattered. They then entered a chamber measuring 50 by 120 meters.

Inside the room, a 20-meter-tall golden-furred gorilla monster stood before them. The monster was furious at their presence.

Death examined the monster closely. "That's an SSS-rank monster!"

Sniiifff!

A golden light passed through their noses. Death caught the scent of honey; she saw drops trickling from a rock hanging behind the gorilla monster.

Death was startled; she raised her voice. "Could that be the Golden Honey from the Ancient Queen Bee of the Fury Beast race?"

"Golden Honey—is that some kind of ingredient for making medicine?"

She couldn't look away. "That's right; it's a very rare type of ingredient. I never expected to find it here," said Death enthusiastically.

"Ahaha, alchemists really are different. If that's the case, let me hold this monster back! Miss Death, you can take that honey however you like."

But Death had already vanished and was sneaking toward the Golden Honey. Enatur opened a dimensional space, drew his four dagger chains, and began attacking the gorilla monster.

The gorilla's movements were quite dexterous, dodging each of the dagger chains' attacks one by one. The gorilla monster leaped here and there, trying to confuse Enatur.

Just as the gorilla leaped, he accelerated, launching a counterattack with a punch from the gorilla monster.

Nano Tungsten shot out from his palm, forming a hard yet lightweight shield.

Punch!

The gorilla monster's fist slammed into Enatur's massive shield. A loud crash echoed throughout the room. Enatur smiled at the gorilla.

A dimensional space opened behind the gorilla, and a dagger chain successfully pierced the gorilla's right hand.

"ROOOOAAARRR!" the gorilla monster roared.

Three more dagger chains pierced its stomach and both legs. The gorilla was suspended in the air by four dagger chains.

The gorilla tried to pull its hand free, but the dagger chains held it too tightly.

Nano Tungsten erupted from its palm and dispersed into the air, forming dozens of swords that hovered in mid-air.

Guided by Enatur's hand, the swords sliced toward the gorilla, shredding and severing its arms and legs.

The final sword severed the gorilla's head, and ultimately, the monster died. Then Enatur slashed its back open.

Shortly after, Enatur pulled out the gorilla monster's spine. "Miss Death, I've taken its spine."

Death observed the Golden Honey dripping from an object resembling a beehive. "Hm, this honey isn't pure; perhaps because it comes from the dripping above."

Death floated into the air, approaching the beehive, which was 45 cm tall and 20 cm in diameter.

Then Death dismantled the hive and saw the shimmering Golden Honey. Death was utterly amazed by the purity of the shimmering golden honey.

"This honey is incredibly pure. It has undergone a long natural fermentation process; with this honey, I can create a higher-quality medicine."

Sniff! Sniff!

Death sniffs the golden honey. "From the scent, this honey has been fermenting for tens of millions of years."

Then Death transfers all the Golden Honey into a bottle, opens the storage space, and stores the bottle there.

Death walked toward Enatur. "Good work. Let me extract the essence from its spinal cord!"

A pale green jade flame erupted from his right palm. The monster's spine floated in the air, and Death directed his flame at it, incinerating the bone.

"Get a bottle to collect it!" said Death.

Enatur opened his storage space and retrieved a medium-sized bottle. White liquid began to drip from the base of the spine, and he collected it.

One medicinal ingredient had been obtained, and golden honey became an additional ingredient acquired by Death.

---

A giant boat flew across the desert. The boat was made of wood, and on its sides were wings flapping gently.

They had been traveling for a week. Death and Enatur were in the room they had booked. Enatur took off his clothes and sat cross-legged.

Death stood behind him, holding his head. Her eyes shone as she looked deeper into the state of his spiritual soul. She was wearing modern black innerwear.

Death furrowed her brows. "It seems it's not as easy as I thought. The Soul-Binding Technique must be removed first. Only then can we focus on the Soul Core."

Death removed her hand, opened her storage space, and took out a bottle containing Soul Grass Essence. Then Death handed it to Enatur.

"Drink this potion so your spiritual immunity becomes stronger and more resilient!"

"Alright!" Enatur gulped it down. His entire body glowed, emitting a white light.

---

They sat together at the dining table, and Enatur opened his storage space. He took out the coffee-making tools and brewed coffee for both of them.

Occasionally, his eyes glanced toward Death's breasts. His libido shot up again.

"Miss Death, she always dresses so sexy in front of me. I feel like we're a married couple. But I'm not old enough to legally marry her yet!"

"So, how is my spiritual soul doing, Miss Death?"

"Basically, the condition of your spiritual soul has improved. But the Soul-Binding Chain Technique must be released first. That technique belongs to the Van Dammon family."

Enatur poured hot water. "That means the treatment won't continue as long as that chain is still binding my soul and God Marrec's soul."

Death sipped her latte. "Ahh~... as you've heard, our next stop is the Dark Fraction to meet Divine Marrec's children!"

"That is, if any of them have mastered it!" She continued.

---

Five days had passed, and the giant ship continued to fly over the desert. Their cabin was enclosed in a protective shield.

Death was relaxing on the bed while reading a book. She was wearing a black babydoll lingerie set with a black G-string.

Enatur was meditating, a golden scroll open before him. The scroll was the one purchased by Death.

Golden light floated between his palms. Enatur condensed the golden light, mixing it with red spiritual energy.

The two energies formed a massive vortex. The golden-red spiritual energy slowly took shape as a blade of energy.

Death glanced at Enatur out of the corner of her eye and muttered, "Hmm~... after five days of practicing that technique, it seems he has successfully modified the Emperor's Sword Technique."

Enatur turned toward Death with a happy expression. "Miss Death, I managed to form it. I can feel the immense energy from this sword!"

Death closed her book and rose from the bed. "That power could serve as an alternative to the highly risky Uranium Nature Blossom."

Death's tone grew more stern. "Enatur, remember this well. You can only use the Emperor's Sword Technique once. Never attempt it more than that. This technique also carries significant risks, though not as great as the Uranium Nature Blossom!"

"Ladies and gentlemen, we will arrive at the sky dock in a few minutes. Please prepare to disembark! Thank you for using our services."

"Miss Death, we're getting ready!" said Enatur.

---

Many giant ships were docked along the pier. Other passengers were lining up to disembark. Death and Enatur were wearing their previous outfits.

Enatur and Death were still in the room; she opened the portal and they both stepped inside.

The portal opened on the edge of the forest, and they both stepped out. Enatur unfolded the map in his hand.

"Tan City isn't far from here. We'll exit the forest and walk a few minutes to the city gates!" Enatur rolled up the map again.

A few moments later, they arrived at the entrance gate. Many people were waiting in line to enter the city of Tan. They passed through the gate without any trouble.

Enatur furrowed his brow and clenched his fists.

"I must get the Red Rose Petal! If not... it's all for nothing!"
