Chapter 24 - Searching for Medicinal Ingredients part 2

Enatur looked at the clothing store. "Miss Death, we need to buy cloaks and masks to hide our identities. What do you think?"

Death nodded. "No problem. Besides, even without hiding, I can take out anyone who bothers me!"

Enatur scratched his head. "At least we can avoid unnecessary trouble, right?" He raised his eyebrows.

Death sighed. "Wait here, I'll take care of this! I'll teach you a lesson—fear is more effective for taking control!"

Death walked straight toward the auction house. A gravity vortex pressed against the building, slowly cracking the wooden walls. This caused panic among the visitors.

People ran away from the building, while Death walked casually toward the building. The building's foundation couldn't withstand the gravity pressure.

Until finally the building collapsed, thick dust spread out, and covered an entire block. Many people died crushed by the debris, some of them injured.

Enatur just stood there in shock, a look of fear on his face.

A strong wind swept up several auction items, causing them to float before her. Death stored them all in a storage space.

Death turned around and walked past Enatur. "Let's get out of here!"

Enatur followed behind her. Even though he heard many screams, he could only remain silent and pretend not to hear them.

---

The two of them flew swiftly through the forest to take a shortcut. Their next destination was the Cao Yao city.

They passed through a gate connected to a bridge leading to the floating island. They walked toward the floating island.

Many adventurers and tourists were heading toward the floating island. Death once again became the center of attention.

They arrived at the inner gate guarded by two armored soldiers. They passed through the inner gate, where merchants were selling their wares on both the left and right sides.

Death and Enatur walked toward the central store. Upon arriving at the central store, the tallest building in the Cao Yao city. Many visitors were in the store.

A female servant clerk greeted them, "Miss, is there anything we can help you with?"

Death said in a cold tone, "Do you have any Black Apples?"

The female servant was surprised. "We have Black Apples. I'll take you to our warehouse," she said.

They headed straight for the warehouse, guided by the female servant.

In the warehouse, a vast space with drawers lined up and stacked as high as 100 meters. The warehouse workers were busy organizing the goods

"Miss, I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself sooner; my name is Xue Fei. Here is a list of the items in the warehouse," said Xue Fei.

Death carefully read through the list of items. "Hm, you have almost everything I want. But the Mythical Horn isn't on this list," said Death.

The warehouse workers and Xue Fei were surprised to hear this.

"The Mythical Horn is an extremely rare ingredient. Even if it existed, the value of all the ingredients in this warehouse wouldn't be enough to buy it."

Death turned her gaze away. "In that case, I'll take everything here."

Suddenly, all the drawers in the warehouse opened, and all the medicinal ingredients spilled out. All the warehouse staff were startled.

Then, Death opened the storage space, and all the materials were absorbed into it.

Death folded her arms. "Show me the receipt."

Xue Fei bowed respectfully. "I'll prepare it, Miss."

A few moments later...

Guards arrived and surrounded Death and Enatur, pointing their spears at them. The shop owner walked slowly, holding a fan in his hand.

A man with short black hair, standing 190 cm tall, dressed like a nobleman, and with a handsome face.

He walked in front of them. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Cao Li. From the time my ancestors opened this herbal shop until I inherited it, this is the first time a customer has bought up all of our rare medicinal ingredients."

He spoke with a arrogant tone. "You suddenly took everything without showing any money. This is an insult to me."

Xue Fei stepped forward to defend her. "I'm sorry, Mr. Cao Li, the receipt is being prepared."

Although her expression was neutral, her tone was sharp. "Huh, wherever and whenever, there's always trash. It makes me sick."

"Hahaha!, Beautiful lady, you're so arrogant. Didn't your parents ever teach you manners?" Cao Li asked mockingly.

Enatur immediately dashed towards Cao Li, grabbing his hair.

Crash!

Enatur slammed Cao Li's body onto the floor.

"HUWAAAA!" Cao Li screamed. Then Enatur clamped his jaw until it snapped, filled with rage and a murderous rage.

"Listen carefully, you stupid human! You have no right to say anything to my Mom!"

Enatur threw Cao Li's body against the wall; he rolled around in agony.

Death patted his shoulder. "Enatur, stop!"

Death muttered. "Such a strong killing intent. I didn't expect him to have an aura like this!"

The guards were scared and kept their distance from the two of them. Then the finance department handed a receipt to Xue Fei.

Xue Fei handed the receipt to Death. "Miss, this is your purchase receipt."

"Can I pay with gold bars?"

"Huh? G-gold bars?" Death glared at Xue Fei, "Y-yes, Miss. The total is 124 gold bars!"

A storage space opened on the floor. Slowly, the compartment lifted, revealing 125 gold bars.

Death took one gold bar. "There are 124 gold bars here." Death tossed one gold bar to Xue Fei. "One gold bar for you."

After finishing, Death and Enatur left the shop.

---

The two of them walked slowly around the city. Merchants were selling various types of medicinal ingredients. Death carefully examined every medicinal ingredient.

"Miss Death, is it okay to buy up all the medicinal ingredients?" Enatur asked.

Death looked at an orange-colored mushroom. "It's fine; I need all those medicinal ingredients." She put the mushroom back.

Two men walked past them. "Hey, did you know? An ancient tomb was just discovered in the Zhun Dark Forest."

"Ah, that rumor—I've heard it too. But I still don't know if it's true or not."

"Fighters and treasure hunters will gather there! Tomorrow, the tomb's seal will be broken."

Enatur listened closely to their conversation. "Miss, could this have anything to do with the Mythical Horn?"

"It can't harm to try!" said Death.

Enatur chuckled. "Pfftt... I feel like the universe is on our side. We've accidentally stumbled upon useful information twice now!"

Death remained silent.

In a small alley, the two men had each received a gold coin from the White Mask Girl.

"You two did a great job!"

"Haha... thank you, little miss!" they stepped out of the alley.

The White Mask Girl sighed. "Directing their route was really exhausting!" she vanished instantly.

---

A day had passed. Death and Enatur stood atop a cliff that pierced the clouds. Before them stood a massive mountain shrouded in blue light energy.

Enatur and Death wore black robes with hoods over their heads. Death's large scythe floated behind her back.

A black aura obscured their faces. Only their eyes emitted a glow matching their eye color.

"I look just like a real Grim Reaper!"

Enatur stared intently at the mountain. "Is that the ancient tomb? Whose tomb is it?"

Eight flying boats drifted past them. All eyes were fixed on Enatur and Death. Enatur kept watch while Death meditated.

The entire cliff trembled slightly; even small stones fell.

"It looks like the seal is about to open!" Enatur turned to Death. "Miss Death, the tomb will open soon."

Death opened her eyes; she saw the flying boats getting much closer to the tomb. "Kill everyone on those ships!"

Enatur was surprised to hear this. "Why do you want to kill them?"

Death sighed and immediately stood up. She walked slowly through the air, as if walking on a transparent floor, and Enatur followed behind her.

"Hey, look at that!"

"Huh? Can they walk in the air?"

"Who are they?"

Enatur looked at each of the people on the ship. "It looks like the powerful ones are hiding in the ship's deck room."

Death replied to Enatur's whisper. "Humans are still just humans; I've already decreed their fate to die in that ancient tomb!"

BAANNG!

Massive energy surged skyward, splitting the sky and creating a series of massive energy fluctuations.

The blue light slowly faded, a sign that the ancient tomb's seal had been broken. The flying boat began to move forward.

"Yeah!"

"Wohoo!"

"Let's go!"

Everyone cheered with joy and enthusiasm.

Enatur turned to Death. "Miss, let's go now!"

Death raised her right hand slightly. "Quiet! Something's off."

Enatur stared at the ancient tomb with a somber expression. "I faintly sense a terrifying aura!"

ROOOAAAARRRR!

The monster's roar echoed out of the tomb, its voice loud and intimidating. People covered their ears.

They all instantly lost their courage; fear took hold of them. Not a single one dared to step forward.

"Listen, Enatur, because of your reckless abilities, you're still not ready to fight a powerful opponent. Stabilize your Nature Flow first!" said Death.

"You're right; thanks to Nature Flow, I've taken on greater risks! I'll be careful."

Death nodded. "I sense a powerful soul—not human. It's concealing its energy aura."

"Something is waiting for us inside!" Continued Death.

---

From the deepest part of the tomb, a massive figure waited in the darkness. Its huge eyes blinked, glowing gold. As if waiting for its prey to walk into the trap.
