Chapter 103 - Chapter 20: Preparing to Depart

Three days passed in a blink of an eye.

Due to the inconvenience of this era, Sen Getsusa was too lazy to rush to build a new home for the Little Sprites.

She planned to return to the Source World and find tech geeks and master craftsmen to custom-make things for the sprites.

Jack arrived punctually at Sen Getsusa's doorstep. He knocked on the door, holding a black cane, looking dapper with a black top hat.

The man bowed, hand on his abdomen, and solemnly said to Sen Getsusa: "My dear Miss Forest, the ship has docked at the harbor and awaits your presence. I am Jack, Jack Dawson, your elder brother for the next few days, and a young gentleman who will share wonderful times with you."

Sen Getsusa rolled her eyes at him and pulled him into the house.

"Speak normally.

I haven't changed yet, wait here for a bit."

"Hey! Time, mind the time, miss. The ship won't wait!"

Jack, however, made himself at home. He took off his hat, smoothed his somewhat flattened golden hair, jumped out of an inverted cup, and poured himself a cup of black tea.

From the spout, a light brown hot stream washed over the bottom of the cup.

"Girls never mind time, time minds us."

Sen Getsusa pursed her lips and smiled, walking barefoot into the house, closing the door behind her.

"Time won't mind you... it's those perverts who mind you." Jack muttered, then suddenly, his eyes flickered.

Did I see that right?

Did a little person just run past the door?

He stood up with his teacup, tiptoeing towards the door.

Turning the corner—

There was a red-bottomed clay pot with flowers in it.

The man shook his head and turned back.

Inside, Sen Getsusa was wearing a small camisole, her two long, plump legs propped on the back of a chair, her hands spread out, lying face up in bed.

"Attention! Mind your image! My Queen!"

Arrietty hopped around on Sen Getsusa's flat stomach, baring her teeth, very unhappily lecturing her queen: "There are other guys here!"

Sen Getsusa lazily turned her head—on the table, a row of male Little Sprites were facing the wall, reflecting on their mistakes.

Mr. Pod was among them.

Actually, Mr. Pod had originally wanted to take advantage of the free time to tidy up the things in the house, taking whatever could be taken.

Unfortunately, Homily pinched his ear, dragged him to the wall, and forced him to face the wall with the young ones.

"I'm not young anymore, what would I look at such a young girl like the Queen for? She's only two years older than Arrietty!"

Homily didn't think so, looking at her unnaturally young husband with a wary expression: "You take a good look at yourself now before you say such things."

Indeed, the current Mr. Pod looked like a fifteen or sixteen-year-old youth, no wonder Homily had been keeping a close eye on him recently, fearing that some ignorant young female sprite might bump into this old stick she had used for many years.

Kina and Arrietty were jumping around on Sen Getsusa's clothes rack, arguing about what their Queen should wear when they went out later.

"I think this lace-waisted, ruffled princess dress suits Her Majesty best." Arrietty said, tugging at the white long dress. She liked to see Sen Getsusa wear white; the girl's porcelain-like skin would shine even brighter in the sun.

Kina, on the other hand, preferred the light blue high-waisted long dress with a small 'window' opening at the chest.

"Her Majesty has a full figure, so of course, her advantages should be highlighted."

The short-haired girl puffed out her own advantages, then looked at Sen Getsusa's even more outstanding advantages, pointedly mocking Arrietty.

"You shut up, are you the leader or am I the leader?"

"But I understand Her Majesty better than you, we have the same figure!"

"Are you the leader or am I the leader?"

"You are, but you don't have it, you're a scrawny female sprite."

"I'm the leader, so listen to me!" Arrietty, furious and embarrassed, cupped her meager advantages and gestured towards Kina: "I have! Have! Have, have, have!"

"Alright, leader. Your advantages... honestly, if you hadn't explicitly explained it to me, I almost would have overlooked them."

Kina's mature face showed a teasing expression: "You can't go around 'displaying' your advantages to everyone else, can you?"

Sen Getsusa coughed violently.

Little people driving big cars, and fast and exciting ones at that.

She got up and sat at the dressing table, tidied her hair with a small silver comb, let it fall down her back, and then applied light makeup.

In the mirror, the girl smiled faintly, looking stunning.

"I'll just wear the set Arrietty suggested. I don't feel like showing off my figure to strangers for no reason."

Since Sen Getsusa had made the final decision, Kina could only pout and glumly jump back onto her shoulder.

Arrietty, on the other hand, was incredibly smug.

"Alright, alright, everyone!" Sen Getsusa clapped her hands. "We're leaving. Maybe we won't come back again. Are you ready?

Kina, Arrietty, stand firm, don't fall off my shoulder."

"The others can enter the Courtyard now.

After the ship sails, I will re-deploy it inside the cabin, and you can all visit this century-old giant ship, which is said to be 'Unsinkable'."

"Yay!!"

"Your Majesty the Queen is the best!"

Jack paced anxiously outside the door, going round and round. Just as he was wondering whether to knock and hurry her up, the door opened.

Sen Getsusa walked out with her hair down, wearing a white long dress that made her figure appear exceptionally delicate.

Her large, winter-spring-like eyes, innocent yet faintly revealing shrewdness and vitality, gave the girl an indescribable sense of intimacy.

A tiny tear mole dotted beneath the slightly reddened corner of her eye added a touch of seductive charm back to her face.

Jack whistled.

"Beautiful! Perfect! Miss Sen, if you weren't so young, I think I would definitely pursue you.

It's your mother's fault for not naming you Venus."

"Good thing you didn't pursue me." Sen Getsusa lifted the hem of her skirt and put on a wide-brimmed hat. "It's rare to make a friend here, and I don't want to kill you."

Jack was used to Sen Getsusa's sharp tongue. He picked up his cane and followed Sen Getsusa out the door.

The girl locked the door and put the key into the mailbox by the entrance.

She had already informed the old landlord in advance, and the other party happily accepted the girl's proposal.

After all, she had received an extra half month's rent for free.

"You're going to New York too?" Jack asked as he carried Sen Getsusa's suitcase.

"Just going to look around. I'll get off wherever the ship stops."

Sen Getsusa's skirt swayed. The morning sun was perfect, hitting the girl's exposed forearms and shining with a golden light.
