Southampton, Belfast Harbor.
A gentle breeze blew in from the sea, and a thick, smoky mist enveloped the harbor.
The massive hull of the titanic was moored by the harbor.
At this time, the dock was already bustling with people.
The dense crowds seemed somewhat congested: those boarding, those seeing them off, and those watching the spectacle. There were also waiters in white uniforms, who moved through the dock like an ocean flowing across the ground.
Mr. Jack Dawson struggled to push through the crowd, spreading his shoulders to protect his'sister' behind him from being squeezed.
His beloved suit was already crumpled from being jostled, and his hat was askew on his head.
"It's magnificent!"
Sen Getsusa and Jack finally managed to squeeze in, standing inside where they could gaze up close at this steel behemoth.
Sen Getsusa, however, thought it was just average.
"Excuse me, Miss, Sir. You should go over there to check your luggage first before boarding." A uniformed guard stood in front of them, head held high, looking down his nose at Jack.
Jack seemed about to pull out some banknotes to hand to him, but Sen Getsusa stopped the man.
She pulled Jack's sleeve, dragging him back into the line where the slow inspection process was taking place ahead.
"I was going to give him some money," Jack said, sweating profusely while holding the box. "That way, we wouldn't have to suffer this ordeal."
Sen Getsusa casually looked around at the scenery and replied, "We're not in a hurry. If we can follow the rules, we follow the rules."
Jack was very surprised that this crazy girl would say such a thing: "I thought you never liked following rules. Right? Pretending to be a noble?"
Sen Getsusa turned her head and gave him a strange look. "I said, 'If we can follow the rules, we follow the rules'."
After speaking, the girl bent slightly and reached out to take the box from the sweaty Jack.
Jack sighed in relief. "So, your rule is, 'What I say goes'?"
"Your comprehension skills have clearly improved a lot since I first met you." Sen Getsusa shuffled forward, slowly following the line.
"Hey! Look over there!"
Not far away, a familiar figure appeared on the street.
Cal Hockley, the man who issued the invitation, walked gracefully in a black suit toward the slowly stopping car.
The surrounding people's attention immediately focused on him.
Clearly, a car driving onto the dock was quite attention-grabbing.
The car door opened.
A beautiful girl stepped out from the back. She wore a straw hat and an expensive outfit that made her look particularly curvaceous.
The girl stood by the car, having spotted Cal early.
With a hint of disdain mixed with arrogance, she held her head high and ignored the flattering man.
Closely following was a gloomy-faced strong man, who at least looked qualified as a bodyguard. He shielded the car roof with his hand for the last lady inside to alight.
It seemed to be the mother of the arrogant girl—she was not as dismissive of Cal as her daughter was.
Jack watched Cal lead the group into the passage, pull out some banknotes from his pocket to hand to the officer, and then lightly board the huge ship.
"See, I told you! Spend some money, spend some money!"
They were almost next in line. Sen Getsusa, carrying the box, pushed Jack aside and walked up to the staff member, opening the luggage. "Your rival seems to be quite the heartbreaker; that girl is pretty."
Jack hadn't paid attention to the straw-hat girl; his focus was entirely on Cal Hockley.
"Hey, will we see him again after we get on the ship?"
"What about our identities?"
Sen Getsusa smiled, "It's 'your' identity that matters. Don't expect me to act with you. If you get caught, just make up a lie."
"He probably won't throw you off the ship into the Atlantic Ocean."
After the inspection, the two carried their boxes and started boarding. Jack was going crazy; he and Sen Getsusa were in First Class, and anyone could see who traveled in First Class by looking around.
Perfectly dressed gentlemen passed by them, carrying canes and wearing top hats.
Some even nodded greetings to Sen Getsusa, their eyes filled with jealousy and envy toward Jack.
"I say, you can't just abandon me, can you?"
Sen Getsusa took the ticket stub from Jack, handing it along with her own to the attendant.
"Just avoid the places where those 'noble' gentlemen hang out, and you'll get scolded less. Mr. Hanhan, besides that suit, you reek of poverty from head to toe."
Jack grumbled as he followed Sen Getsusa, "I'm bored anyway, getting scolded is fine... I haven't even sampled their fancy lunch yet..."
The two arrived on the deck, where countless passengers were already waiting, cheering and shouting loudly, creating an interwoven wave of sound with the people seeing them off on shore.
The giant whistle sounded, and the crowd cheered even harder.
At the stern, the three propellers started.
The already murky seawater, along with the mud and sand, was churned up, stirring the waves like an exploding bomb.
"We're leaving! We're going to New York!"
Jack shouted along with the crowd. He and Sen Getsusa went to the ship's rail, looking at the crowds on the dock whom they didn't know at all, and yelled out their innermost desires to them.
"I'm leaving! I'm going to succeed!"
Sen Getsusa stepped back, leaning against the cabin wall, utterly bored.
To the side, a small Boy in a suit was just like her, a little guy about seven or eight years old.
He had neatly styled brown-gold short hair, dense, close-set eyebrows, and stood there looking utterly bored, watching his father act crazy.
The Boy, acting like a little adult, saw Sen Getsusa looking over, gave a proper bow, and greeted the girl from a distance.
This kid is quite interesting.
Suddenly, Sen Getsusa felt the hull shake.
They were departing.
The knife-sharp bow cut through the waves, white spray surged, seabirds flew around the giant ship, and the sky was clear for thousands of miles.
The ship's body, like a towering cliff, cast a shadow on the sea surface. Even where Sen Getsusa stood, she could faintly smell the salty, fishy spray carried by the waves.
The giant ship roared as it sailed toward the deep sea, and the coastline slowly disappeared from the guests' view.
On the deck, passengers, leading their children or wives, gradually turned back inside the cabins to settle down.
Sen Getsusa noticed that the little Boy's father was pulling him toward the First Class section.
"Hey! Why aren't you joining in?"
Jack was full of excitement, his voice slightly hoarse.
"Joining what?" Sen Getsusa picked up her suitcase. "The last time I saw so many people shouting their lungs out together was in some video."
The girl took the lead, heading toward the First Class section, with Jack following closely, asking incessantly.
"Video? What is a video?"
