Two days in Perseus.
Two days where hell was colder than Earth.
The actions of Helios in this region of Perseus are considered crimes against humanity, and should never be spoken of. Though his own squad and the few survivors have left us with vile, graphic descriptions of what happened during those two days.
The files read as such.
June 30th and June 31st.
June 30th, Helios reaches the capital of the Aserba country of Perseus. Two million people live in it.
6.00 am.
Helios kills a hundred people, all military services from which the duty is to serve and protect. The civilians are now unarmed and without any external defense. No foreign embassy will ever send anyone to die a menaingless death, knowing nothing can now change the outcome.
8.00 am.
Helios attacks civilians, it is reported that an entire family was killed. Helios roped an entire family on the ground and grabbed the child in front of the parents and siblings. By his strength alone, he threw him like a baseball in the window of their house, killing the boy instantly. He then left a grenade in the family's hands, the object being in their hands on their back, they were not able to retreive it before it exploded.
It is reported Helios, with one gun in each hand, held children on walls and shot them multiple times, covering the white walls od this modest city with their blood.
11.00 am.
Helios finds the shelters and redirects all water supplies to the shelter, as well as the main electric currents. First, the capital fell, then the country of Aserba as a whole.
The president himself was violently beaten to death during a livestream he started with his phone, by hacking the television frequencies.
The torture last two hours.
June 31st.
4.00 pm.
The bordering country of Aserba, Aedul, organized all defenses at the border, tanks and helicopters. All of the ammunitions one could think of, and Helios incinerated all of the present forces.
The civilians of this second country were summarily exterminated. It is now considered both a war crime and a crime against humanity, as well as a genocide. Perseus lives in fear. And as long as this entity lives, Perseus will always live in fear.
After the five nukes, a massive portion of Perseus was uninhabitable. So the entire squad left in a shockingly heavy silence, retreating to a forest. In this forest, they found the Structure and new people ready to accomodate them.
They lived there for a few years before some of them eventually left the group, leaving no one but Helios and Agony inside.
"We should talk about what happened."
"It's been long enough that now, you feel like it's appropriate?"
"The politicians deserved it. No issue on that one. But the poor people of Aserba and Aedul..."
"You don't know what it's like. To stay, as a man, without any accomplishments for so long. It drags you down. I had to come up with something, I had to improvise, I had to free myself."
"Right. I know that. But I've come to despise you. Not for the actions themselves but because you're simply not who I used to know anymore. And that's scary. Who is sitting in front of me, Helios? You or someone else?"
"It was always me. The man I am now is nothing but the logical conclusion of who I was before. You are seeing an angel of death. I don't think I can even die, at this point. I feel immuned to pain and remorse. Immuned to death and more."
"Helios. What is your next mission?"
"Excuse me?"
"What is your goal, now?"
"To live? This is just the beginning."
"The beginning of what?"
"Of my life. I've spent an awful amount of time rotting and rotting. Now that I get to live my own life, I refuse to be held in a cage ever again."
"This is not about the cage, is it? I think you're overcompensating for the fact that you never knew who you were, or who you were supposed to be."
"I'm not supposed to be anything. I can just live, that's the point. No restriction, no rules, no plans. Just a man in the world."
Someone entered the living room in a violent noise, the door opening up suddenly. They both cut the dialogue short and saw a man, probably six foot tall. In the darkness, it was almost impossible to make up of his facial features.
"You two will come with me now."
"Who are you?" Helios asked, curious.
"A Nephilim."
The Structure was empty of its' last two people. A new beginning had been engaged in Helios' life.
"Where are we? What is this?"
"It's always the same, isn't it? We placed weapons in your hands and you've made it your focal point your entire life. When's the last time you questionned anything? We made it so that you would be so used to a life with war that you could never fathom our existence."
"Your guy over here said you were Nephilims."
"We are. We stand above you."
"Then, what do you want?"
"Simple, I want entertainment. If I'm bored for a second I don't know what I would do to your kind. So when you go back to Perseus, I'm gonne need ya to keep on shootin', you feel me?"
"I was already killing people, you're the one who brought me here."
"Nope, ya just don't get it do you? I'm gonne need ya to keeo shooting forever. We could turn you into one of us."
"What if, let's just test this theory, I go back as a human and do this?"
"Humans have limit. If we take it away, what happens? You die, Helios."
"I don't want to betray my humanity for some Nephilim blood."
"Well, that's just your pride talking. Here, have taste."
"What's your name?"
"Nara. Now drink. Swallow my blood and swallow your pride."
