Kaius slammed his door behind him with an anguished groan.
'Great. Just great.'
He wasn't sure what was worse, Uriel seeing what had happened, risking that he could let it slip at any moment if he were asked the wrong question, or that he had interrupted them in the first place.
The latter meant that, deep down, truly, he hadn't wanted him to stop.
Yet, the former was more concerning.
He wasn't ashamed of anything he had done but until now, this - whatever this was - had been private. Confined to the two of them in a way that allowed Kai to reject any need to name it.
But now, if his family were to find out, through no fault of Uri's, then there would be questions.
How long?
Did Kai have feelings for him?
Were they together?
He stared out of the oval window of his room, covered with a silvery lattice of metal.
Six months.
He couldn't even run from it if he wanted to.
