Rami's eyes shifted to Uriel's hands resting on his hips and Kai followed them down, a muscle twitched at the corner of his jaw.
"Oh…" Kai jolted away from Uriel as though he'd been shocked with electricity and held his hands up in front of his chest, "No, it's not what it - I mean…look!" He waved his hand over the bike, the perfect frame, the mended rune, with exaggerated exuberance, "Ta-da…" He mumbled, weakly.
Rameses crossed the room, slowly, his gaze fixed on Kai. He had clearly just returned from work, his short-sleeved shirt clinging to his muscular torso and the scent of airship fuel staining his skin.
Kai gulped.
When he stopped in front of him, his silvery blue eyes landed on the bike, a light frown appearing between his dark brows, "How did you fix it?"
Relief washed over him and Kai grinned, "Ah! No! See, it wasn't me, it was Uriel! That's why I…I was thanking him." He finished, awkwardly.
