Rameses POV
A harsh burn spread across the surface of his irises when Rameses peered through the thick walls that surrounded them.
He knew that Kai would find his paranoia amusing, but then again, Kai didn't know everything that he knew, and Rameses was sure that it was only him who felt as though they were being watched.
A few seconds ticked by.
Kai discarded his shirt so that Rameses could see which muscles he was using, and set aside the lighter, wooden training pole.
Instead, he lifted a sturdy, iron spear with a sharp, black point from the weapons rack - and smiled.
The pristine gold of his soul light pulsed brighter, rippling outwards from his skin when his eyes flashed with excitement.
Rameses felt his damp skin prickle, every hair on his body standing on end.
Before he began, Kai dragged a thick wooden target board from behind the rack and placed it at one end of the hall.
