Rameses POV
After leaving the training hall of the Demon Hunter Academy, Rameses Hadiyyah wandered the streets with Kai's words echoing in his head:
'It's still not enough.'
What had he really meant by that?
Love? Rameses' love? Rameses?
Or was it that his love didn't make up for the things he was hiding away?
Before he realised it, Rameses found that his feet had brought him to a familiar apartment at the edge of the city's upper residential district.
He really shouldn't be here alone. If Kai knew, then he would be angry again. Rameses didn't need to add more secrets.
And yet, he struggled to curb the sudden desire to talk to someone. A friend. Someone impartial and emotionally removed from the situation. Someone who understood him.
Rameses raised his hand and knocked lightly on the door.
