The tension in the private solar was hot and thick. Odesse and Valex stood close, the heat radiating between them as they melted into each other's arms, their lips pressing together in a deep, heavy kiss. Valex tilted his head down, tracing his lips along Odesse's neck and down toward her shoulder. Odesse ran her fingers through his hair, a soft smile tugging at her lips. Pushing his advantage, Valex pulled her closer, his hands sliding down her legs as the temperature in the room seemed to spike.
Odesse opened her eyes slightly, raising an eyebrow with a knowing smirk. She placed her hands firmly against his chest and pushed back slowly, breaking the kiss. Valex looked at her, dazed and confused, as she gently unwrapped his arms from around her waist.
Passing him with a slow, deliberate grace, she headed toward the exit.
"Why are you leaving?" Valex asked, turning around with his brow furrowed.
