Sunoo
I woke up with my stomach trying to climb out of my throat again. One second I was asleep on Min-ji's lumpy couch cuz I couldn't make it to the bed, the next I was bolting to the bathroom like my life depended on it. I barely made it before everything from last night came back up. My knees hit the cold tiles hard. I stayed there, breathing like an idiot, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand.
"Sunoo? You okay in there?" Min-ji's voice came through the door, sleepy but worried.
"Yeah, just my daily punishment," I muttered. I flushed the toilet and stood up slowly . My legs felt shaky. I looked at myself in the mirror. Eyes puffy, hair sticking up everywhere, face pale like I had not slept in weeks. Which I kind of hadn't.
Min-ji was already in the kitchen when I came out, making some weak tea that smelled like grass. She pushed a mug toward me without asking. "Drink this. It helps some people. Others it makes them puke more. Fifty-fifty chance."
