Chapter 73 - Chapter 73: Training Day with Mitsuki Bakugo! Ren Meets Rei Todoroki!

The sun hadn't come up yet when Ren felt something soft brushing against his cheek.

"Mmh... what... is this feeling?" His awareness crawled back slowly, pulling him out of the depths of sleep.

Little by little, his vision focused as he came back to his senses. Mitsuki was leaning against his chest, stroking his cheek affectionately with a tenderness that seemed completely out of character for her. She looked like she was in an exceptionally good mood, and she'd woken him up with a light kiss on the lips.

"Ren-kun, it's almost six. Time to wake up," she said softly.

Wait! Did I sleep over at Mitsuki's place again?! It was the second time he'd spent the night with Mitsuki after sex.

At this rate, Bakugo's gonna have to start calling me dad.

When his vision finally cleared, a toned stomach with soft skin and a pair of big, plush breasts filled his view. Mitsuki was straddling him without a scrap of clothing or shame, her legs spread open, the pink of her folds brushing against the skin of his lower abdomen while her firm ass rested right on top of his morning wood.

Waking up like this... definitely heavenly. I wish this could be an everyday thing.

"Ren-kun, you're finally awake. If you don't get up soon, we won't have time to go running."

"Ugh." Ren tried to sit up, but his muscles gave out on him. Apparently, Mitsuki's wild moves the night before had taken their toll.

This woman is a busty succubus pretending to be a fashion designer, Ren noted as he watched the stark contrast between Mitsuki, who somehow looked even younger than she had yesterday, and himself, who looked like an old man waking up with a hangover.

"Ngh... ahh..."

Mitsuki moaned as she started rubbing her soft, wet lips against Ren's erection.

Damn it, I'm getting up, I'm definitely getting up. How the hell did I manage to have sex with four girls at once, but Mitsuki leaves me drier than a raisin?

"M-Mitsuki, it's late... we should get going," Ren said. Honestly, his dick hurt after how wild she'd been the night before.

Mitsuki gave him a wild, lustful smile. "Oh, my sweet Ren-kun, you think you won the battle? The war's just getting started. Now I'm gonna show you the consequences of your little stunt last night."

SMACK!

"UGH!" Ren grunted when Mitsuki dropped down to take him inside her.

She kissed him erotically, keeping poor Ren from calling for help, and as pain and pleasure hit him in equal measure, only one coherent thought made it into his head.

Damn! Mitsuki has an incredible pussy!

Two people jogged through the park at 7 in the morning. The sun had already come up, but the air was still a little chilly. A sexy woman in the prime of her youth caught every passerby's attention, and how could she not? She had the kind of figure that turned heads without ever feeling cheap, her big firm breasts bouncing with every stride as she ran. Top it off with a serene, overwhelmingly beautiful face, and you had every passerby doing a double take.

The same couldn't be said for her companion, whom she was practically dragging by the hand. A young guy who looked like he'd lost all his vitality and resembled an empty shell being pulled along by the big-breasted woman.

"Phew! I feel way too alive this morning. How about you, kid?" Mitsuki said.

"Speak... for... yourself... woman. You sure you're not a succubus?" Ren forced the words out, trying to breathe while his hips ached from the intensity of the morning.

"Oh, Ren-kun, you're gonna make me blush if you keep saying things like that... If you don't move that ass, I'm gonna find us a private spot and we'll have another round."

Ren went pale hearing the words come out of her mouth.

"WHO SAID I'M TIRED?! HAH! A LITTLE HIP PAIN'S NOT GONNA STOP ME! COME ON, MITSUKI, WE'VE GOT MUSCLES TO BUILD!"

Mitsuki got a kick out of Ren's outburst. She really liked this bald kid. He had so many sides to him. He could flip from gentleman to pervert in a heartbeat, and he still somehow managed to be the guy who made her feel pretty and occasionally chased away her bad moods. She glanced around to make sure no one was coming, then grabbed his cheeks with both hands and planted a long kiss on him.

Huh? Did I say something she liked? I swear, if I had some kind of conquest system, I'd see little hearts popping up over her head for me to earn. Did I reincarnate into an otome game? Ren thought as he watched Mitsuki start walking again after kissing him hard.

This is something I love about her. She's got the kind of strength that doesn't need to announce itself, and an independent streak most people couldn't match. Definitely the woman with the most personality I've ever met, not counting Nemuri, of course. Nemuri's got her own thing going on.

Luckily, we got the day off today. I don't know what I'd do with my hips if I can barely move. The Sports Festival... day after tomorrow, I'm gonna show them what I'm made of!

After running, Mitsuki bought some food. Ren assumed they were gonna rest. But she bought more than they needed, handed Ren a bag to carry, and started walking.

"Um... Mitsuki-san, where are we going?"

"To visit a friend."

It took Ren a moment to realize they were walking into a psychiatric hospital.

His feet stopped moving when he saw the sign. The Musutafu Psychiatric Care Center, a modern building that tried really hard to feel welcoming but couldn't quite hide its institutional nature.

A psychiatric hospital? Who the hell does Mitsuki know here?

They walked through the main doors and Mitsuki greeted the receptionist. She signed the log without hesitation while Ren just stood there holding the bag of food like an idiot.

"Come on, Ren-kun. Don't just stand there looking stunned."

They walked down hallways with motivational posters and potted plants that were probably meant to make the place feel less depressing. Ren's mind was racing a mile a minute.

Is it a family member? A friend from work? Why would she bring me if it's someone personal?

Mitsuki stopped in front of a marked door and knocked softly.

"Rei-chan? It's me. I brought company today."

A soft voice answered from inside: "Come in, Mitsuki."

Mitsuki opened the door and pulled Ren inside by the arm.

Sitting by the window with a book in her hands was a beautiful woman. White hair fell past her shoulders, framing delicate features and calm gray eyes that looked up from the page with a serene smile.

Shit! How the hell does Mitsuki know Todoroki's mom?! Those two guys can't even stand each other! I mean, what's going on in this world?! First, Izuku doesn't exist, Inko turns into a super sexy girl who carries One For All and ends up my classmate, and now you're telling me Rei and Mitsuki are friends?!

Ren was doubting everything he knew about this anime.

I definitely can't trust the events of the My Hero Academia series anymore.

"Rei-chan! Good morning!" Mitsuki burst in with her usual energy.

Rei smiled softly. "Good morning, Mitsuki. And who is he?"

Ren stood there frozen.

Mitsuki pushed him forward. "Don't be shy, Ren-kun. This is Rei Todoroki, Shoto Todoroki's mother. Shoto's one of your classmates!"

Rei's eyes widened slightly. "You're a classmate of Shoto's?"

She turned to Mitsuki with a confused expression. "Didn't you say you were going to bring your son Bakugo?"

Mitsuki scratched her head with an embarrassed smile. "Well, Ren-kun is practically family. Besides, my idiot son didn't want to come running with me. I was gonna use the chance to introduce him, but you know how teenagers are."

Rei didn't press the issue about the relationship between Ren and Mitsuki. She simply accepted that they were there and gestured for Ren to sit down.

"Please, make yourself comfortable."

Ren sat down carefully, aware of everything he knew about this woman and absolutely couldn't mention. In the anime, she'd been pretty. In person, she was something else entirely.

How the hell did Endeavor get access to this woman and decide to treat her like a breeding object?

That bastard deserves to have a piano drop on his head.

He paused internally. Ren, you're sitting in a psychiatric hospital thinking that a patient is hot. Control your urges!

The important thing was that Ren wasn't nervous about Rei as an anime character. It was a different kind of awkwardness because he didn't want to hurt someone who had fought so hard mentally to make it through.

Mitsuki took out the food they'd bought and set it up like she owned the place. She brought the warm dishes over and laid everything out on the desk, opening containers and talking nonstop as she went. Rei watched her with affectionate resignation. Ren noticed the dynamic between them for the first time: Mitsuki made all the noise, Rei held all the space, and somehow it worked perfectly.

"So you're in the same class as Shoto," Rei said softly, turning to Ren. "How's he doing? In school, I mean."

Ren had to think fast. He couldn't say what he really knew. But he could say something honest.

"Well, Rei-san..." Ren scratched the back of his neck, searching for the right words so he wouldn't lie to her. "Shoto's a special case. To be honest, at first he can come across as kind of... arrogant."

Rei lowered her gaze, pressing her hands slightly in her lap. "Arrogant? I see... I suppose the weight of his family name and his own power..."

"Don't get me wrong," Ren interrupted quickly. "It's not that he thinks he's better than anyone else. He's just a really lonely kid. Sometimes it seems like he lives in his own little ice world. In the halls he usually keeps to himself, and in training... well, he's incredibly strong. It's scary how natural being the best comes to him."

Rei sighed sadly. "He was always a lonely child. It hurts to know he still carries that wall around him."

Ren smiled softly, leaning forward a little as he took her hands in a sincere gesture. "But don't just focus on that. Even though he's cold and seems to prefer being on his own, you can see it in his eyes. Shoto's a good kid underneath it all, even if he doesn't know how to really express what he's feeling. There's a kindness in him that I'm sure other people will pick up on with time."

Rei looked up, and for the first time in the conversation, her eyes shone with relief. "A good boy? I'm so glad to hear that from someone who sees him every day. I was afraid he'd become... cold in every sense of the word."

"Not at all. He's stubborn as a mule, but he's got a good heart. He just needs time to learn how to be a normal teenager."

The moment was tender. Rei smiled, looking like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. Ren felt good giving her that peace of mind.

And then Mitsuki ruined it completely.

"Hey, baldy, how come you never talk that nicely about my son?"

Ren choked on air. Are you kidding me right now?!

"I... well... Bakugo is..." Ren fumbled for an explanation that wouldn't incriminate him.

Mitsuki crossed her arms with a fake pout. "See? My Katsuki doesn't get any love."

Rei laughed softly, filling the room with warmth. Ren looked at Mitsuki while she smiled back at him without a hint of remorse.

"Bakugo's just lucky to have such an incredible mom," Ren said diplomatically.

"Damn right he is!" Mitsuki declared proudly.

They spent the next hour there. Mitsuki dominated most of the conversation, telling stories about her work and the neighborhood while Rei listened with quiet amusement. Ren chimed in every now and then.

When it was time to go, Rei walked them to the door.

"Thank you for the visit, Mitsuki. And Ren-kun..." She turned to him with sincere gratitude. "It's good to know Shoto has classmates like you."

Ren took her hands again, looking her straight in the eyes. "Don't worry, Rei-san. I'll come see how you're doing whenever I can." He scratched his cheek, embarrassed. "If I'm welcome, I mean."

"You're always welcome," Rei said with a warm smile.

As they walked out of the hospital into the bright morning sunlight, Ren felt strangely satisfied. He'd just met one of the most tragic characters in the series, and instead of it being awkward or painful, it had been... nice.

They walked in comfortable silence for a few blocks. Then Mitsuki spoke casually.

"Don't tell Katsuki I come here."

Ren didn't ask why. It'd be weird if your rival's mom was friends with your own mother.

"Your secret's safe with me, Mitsuki-san."

"Good." She paused. "You were good with her. Rei doesn't open up to a lot of people."

"She seems like a good person who's been through hell."

"She has been." Mitsuki's voice was unusually serious. "That's why I visit. Everybody deserves someone who shows up."

Ren looked at her with new appreciation. Under all that aggressive exterior and the dirty jokes, Mitsuki Bakugo had a heart bigger than her impressive chest.

"You're an amazing person, you know that?"

Mitsuki stopped walking and turned to look at him. She grabbed his cheeks with both hands, squeezing them.

Oh! Here it comes! A romantic kiss in the middle of the street! This is perfect!

He closed his eyes, getting ready for the tender moment.

MWAH!

Mitsuki planted a noisy, exaggerated kiss right on the top of his bald head.

Ren opened his eyes feeling betrayed. "Are you kidding me?!"

"What? You said I was amazing. I'm rewarding you." Mitsuki grinned mischievously.

"That's not what I meant and you know it!"

"Oh yeah? What did you mean, then?" She batted her eyelashes innocently.

"I meant..." Ren gestured vaguely. "You know what I meant!"

"I really don't, baldy. You're gonna have to be more specific."

They kept bickering all the way there.

But Ren wasn't actually annoyed. He'd already figured out that this was how Mitsuki showed affection. The teasing and the way she'd deliberately mess up romantic moments were all part of her love language.

"The food didn't fill me up. Want to grab some eggs or pancakes?"

"Both!"

"Greedy kid!"

"You're the one who drained all my energy this morning!"

"And I'll do it again if you don't stop whining!"

Ren smiled watching Mitsuki drag him to the nearest café.

This life was damn good.

Even if his hips never fully recovered.
