Seeing Leo standing there with his breath coming in ragged gasps, Celine immediately pressed herself against Henry. She gripped the sleeve of Henry's suit jacket tightly, seeking refuge. Henry reacted instantly, shifting his weight to shield Celine completely from Leo's sharp, intimidating gaze.
"I don't need your acknowledgment, Leo! We are getting a divorce!" Celine screamed. Her voice trembled violently. The tears of relief that had recently graced her cheeks were now replaced by those of fear and rage.
Leo's jaw tightened. He stepped forward quickly, as if to reach out for Celine and pull her away from Henry.
"Stop right there! Or I will call the police this second!" Henry shouted as a stern warning. He pulled a phone from his suit pocket, his thumb hovering over the screen, ready to dial emergency services.
Leo froze. He was suddenly reminded of the legal boundaries currently restraining him. He shook his head in frustration, his hands balling into fists at his sides.
