Fairy Tail Guild Hall — Morning
The guild was loud again.
Which meant everything was right with the world.
Tables slammed. Jobs were argued over. Natsu was already trying to pick a fight with Gray before breakfast was even done.
And in the middle of it all—
Ren sat at a table with Erza, Mira, and Juvia.
That alone was enough to draw attention.
> "They're doing it again," Cana muttered, sipping her drink.
"Doing what?" Lucy asked.
"Existing like that," Cana replied. "Menacingly romantic."
Lucy blinked.
> "They're just… sitting?"
> "Exactly," Levy said. "Too peacefully."

The Table
Mira leaned in slightly, sliding a plate of food toward Ren.
> "You didn't eat much yesterday."
Ren accepted it without looking up.
> "Because you kept refilling it."
Erza crossed her arms.
> "You burn through calories faster than you replace them. Eat."
Juvia nodded seriously.
> "Water flows best when the vessel is not empty."
Ren paused.
Then smiled — just barely.
> "You three coordinate way too well."
Mira giggled.
> "Practice."
That earned several stares from nearby tables.

Jealousy Begins
At the bar, a group of guild mages whispered.
> "How does he do it?"
"No idea."
"He doesn't even flirt."
"That's worse!"
Wakaba sighed deeply.
> "Youth is wasted on the emotionally unavailable."
Cana raised her mug.
> "I give it a week before someone challenges him to a duel over jealousy."
> "Only a week?" Lucy asked.
> "Optimistic estimate."

Afternoon — Ren's House
The lake shimmered under sunlight. The house stood quiet, solid — warm.
Inside, Ren was adjusting a formation circle near the wall when Erza stepped in.
> "You don't need to reinforce that one again."
> "I know," Ren said. "I just like knowing it won't fail."
Erza watched him for a moment.
> "You carry responsibility like armor."
Ren glanced at her.
> "You wear armor like responsibility."
She huffed.
> "Fair."
Mira peeked in from the hallway.
> "Tea's ready~"
Juvia followed, carrying cups with careful reverence.
> "This house feels… alive," she said softly. "Like it's breathing with us."
Ren rested his palm against the wall.
> "That was the point."
---
Quiet Romance
They sat together by the window.
No dramatic confessions. No declarations.
Just presence.
Erza's shoulder brushed Ren's. Mira leaned comfortably against his side. Juvia sat close enough that her magic hummed softly in response to his.
Outside, Natsu stared through the window.
> "WHY DOES IT FEEL LIKE A DATE?"
Gray shoved him back.
> "Because it is, idiot."
Lucy tilted her head.
> "It's not… loud enough to be one."
Cana smirked.
> "That's because it's real."

Evening — Back at the Guild
Rumors spread faster than fire magic.
> "Did you hear? They all live there now."
"At the lake house?"
"Yeah."
"Unfair."
One mage slammed his mug down.
> "I went on three missions this week and all I got was debt and trauma!"
Erza walked past him.
He straightened instantly.
> "GOOD EVENING ERZA-SAN."
She nodded.
> "Good evening."
Mira smiled sweetly.
Juvia's eyes shimmered dangerously.
Ren said nothing.
That somehow made it worse.
---
Closing Moment
Later that night, Ren stood on the porch, lake reflecting moonlight.
Erza joined him.
> "They're staring again," she said.
> "Let them," Ren replied.
Mira's laughter drifted from inside. Juvia's magic rippled softly through the house.
Erza looked at him.
> "You've built more than a house."
Ren didn't deny it.
> "Then protect it," she said quietly.
Ren's voice was steady.
> "Always."
The lake remained calm.
And for the first time in a long while—
So did they.
