Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: Arcueid vs. Akatsuki

Inside the Student Council, Akatsuki's brow furrowed. She had an indescribable, strange feeling, but whenever she tried to investigate, some force seemed to stop her.

The next moment, the Student Council disappeared.

Akatsuki's pupils constricted suddenly as a chill crawled up her spine. Almost instantly, without any thought and relying purely on her body's instinctual reaction to danger, Akatsuki narrowly avoided a claw strike.

An unexpected figure appeared not far from her.

Arcueid Brunestud.

The Princess of the True Ancestors, the executioner of fallen True Ancestors, the candidate or rather the juvenile form of the earth uo, and the heroine of the tsukihime setting.

There was no communication. When Arcueid saw Akatsuki dodge her strike, she made her next move. Her massive magical energy, like a natural disaster, constantly proclaimed its power to Akatsuki.

"Hey, hey, hey! I never heard that hitting on a Young lady at school would attract Arcueid!"

Akatsuki's expression was grim. In this world, the only things that could truly kill her, aside from the highest level of the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, was Arcueid.

Even if the King of the Moon Crimson Moon were to be resurrected now, he wouldn't be able to return to his peak state, so he was nothing for Akatsuki to fear. Arcueid, however, was different.

Akatsuki had once simulated a confrontation with Arcueid. No matter what method she used, the best possible outcome was that after killing Arcueid, she would completely lose control, fall into an irreversible Bloodlust Impulse, and fully transform into a fallen True Ancestor.

Facing those red cat-like eyes, the corners of Akatsuki's mouth twitched. Even she could tell that the current Arcueid was impossible to communicate with, living merely as a weapon to deal with fallen True Ancestors.

The only way to resolve this crisis was to take a gamble: let Arcueid drink her blood, let her taste it and fall into a Bloodlust Impulse, and then use a special power to directly convert Arcueid into her own kin, thereby making Arcueid's rank lower than her own.

Only in this way could she ensure she would not be harassed by True Ancestors and Dead Apostles in this world.

However, the risk was extremely high, and once successful, Akatsuki, as a pseudo earth uo, would likely officially become the true earth uo.

Looking at Arcueid, whose eyes were hollow yet fixed intently on her, Akatsuki's mouth twitched. The person she least wanted to face was the Jewel Owner—after all, he was one of the strongest cheaters on the human side who had even killed Crimson Moon—and second to him was Arcueid.

Fortunately for Akatsuki, the current Arcueid was still very easy to trick. Otherwise, in tsukihime, Roa wouldn't have been able to trick Arcueid into drinking blood and sharing her blood with him. This was also thanks to the group of True Ancestors in the Millennium Castle who didn't dare teach Arcueid anything else, treating her only as a weapon for executing fallen True Ancestors.

Those old fogies in the Millennium Castle were terrified that if Arcueid knew more, she would turn back into Crimson Moon, and at that point, their lives would be over.

But to Akatsuki, those old fogies were already dead... dead True Ancestors!

No matter what happened between her and Arcueid, Arcueid was destined to ingest Akatsuki's blood and fall deep into a Bloodlust Impulse!

Then again, Arcueid's appearance here meant that Akatsuki was already considered one of the fallen True Ancestors. Indeed, if an ordinary True Ancestor drank blood as unrestrainedly as Akatsuki, they would have fallen long ago.

But Akatsuki was different. Her body was personally molded by gaia, and her soul was a high-dimensional existence from the real world personally selected by alaya (at least, so she thought).

Her Bloodlust Impulse was naturally more controllable than that of other True Ancestors, and her inherent specs were not much different from Arcueid's, even showing a slight trend of surpassing them.

Arcueid threw a punch at Akatsuki. Wherever the wind of the punch reached, even space seemed like it might shatter. However, Akatsuki remained exceptionally calm and met it with a palm strike.

In an instant, the sound of a massive explosion pierced the ears of all the residents of Fuyuki City.

Feeling the pain of her progeny Matou Sakura and her Servant Avenger, Akatsuki gave a bitter smile as a black blade began to construct itself from the hilt in her hand.

"Fighting in this place will destroy public property. Of course, I wouldn't mind even if you sank this entire country, but doing so would disrupt my plans, and that's not something I want to see!"

The black blade slashed into the void, and space shattered directly. A crack appeared in the void, and on the other side of the crack was a sea of flowers emitting a faint blue light.

Disaster-level magical energy erupted instantly. Before the counter force could correct the rift, Akatsuki forcibly pushed Arcueid through it. Even as Arcueid continuously ravaged Akatsuki's body, Akatsuki did not let go.

Passing through the rift, Akatsuki pinned Arcueid down onto the sea of flowers in the Millennium Castle's courtyard. There wasn't a single wound on Arcueid's body, but her clothes were stained blood-red.

Feeling Arcueid's arm pierce through her own body, a smile spread across Akatsuki's lips.

Logically, the many True Ancestors within the Millennium Castle should have been happy that Arcueid had the upper hand, but when they saw Akatsuki's upward-curving lips, an exceptionally uneasy feeling instantly occupied their hearts.

To be honest, dealing with the current Arcueid didn't require too much trouble; she just needed to preserve her own life.

Akatsuki's flesh and blood transformed into chains, tightly locking the arm Arcueid had thrust into her body. Following that arm, the blood-and-flesh chain quickly wrapped around Arcueid's body, restricting her magical energy in an instant.

Though it was only temporary, it was enough for Akatsuki.

A trace of blood leaked from the corner of Akatsuki's mouth. Looking at Arcueid's face, an image couldn't help but appear in her mind.

An ancient castle deep in the mountains, as deep as the sea, and the lonely girl imprisoned there. Though she was a True Ancestor, no one had ever told her the meaning of her existence; she was used merely as a tool to hunt down fallen True Ancestors.

Every time she returned, she would not have a single wound, only being stained blood-red all over.

This was the True Ancestor, Arcueid Brunestud.

"You foolish lot, your doom has arrived."

When the True Ancestors in the Millennium Castle finally saw Akatsuki's face clearly, an unspeakable terror instantly filled their hearts. That face, which was identical to Crimson Moon's and nearly the same as Arcueid's, awakened their deepest fears.

Screaming, madness, and fear.

Before their terrified eyes and Arcueid's puzzled gaze, Akatsuki leaned in and kissed Arcueid directly on the lips.

She forcibly poured her own blood into Arcueid, bit her lip open, and greedily sucked her blood.
