"Hi", Luna replied with a sweet smile and soft wave. They all looked excited while chatting with the violinist.
Detective Takagi decided to leave and escort them out. Conan took one last glance at the woman smiling sweetly while waving goodbye. Haibara also did the same as him. But she noticed that the woman's gaze linger on her, it was neither intimidating nor scary. She felt a warmth hidden under her gaze.
...
"So...? What's your deal?" Amuro said after everyone left. "What deal?" the woman said still smiling.
Amuro sighed. "That kidnapping. It was you wasn't it? What...you're on for a great entrance now? You didn't tell me you were coming back. And now you decided to pay random dudes to hold you captive, for me to obviously save you and you act like you don't care."
"Well...first and foremost those dudes weren't random. They actually did kidnap someone before and the victim ended up with a bad bad trauma...I just helped the cops get to them...in my own not so boring way", she replied shrugging at him.
Amuro crossed his arms while raising his brows on her. She sighed.
"Fine, fine...I'm sorry. I won't do it again. Don't be mad okay?" she said with a pout while her words sounded like she was pleading. When the man beside her didn't respond she frowned, "...Toru?"
Amuro sighed yet again. "Okay fine. Don't do it again." After hearing his words, the woman rejoice and celebrated openly as she ate some sandwiches he prepared earlier.
...
"What's wrong?" the girl with a brown bob asked. "No...it's just...she's kinda odd", replied Conan. "Who? Luna Noir?" Haibara said. Conan looked at her and nodded in response.
"What's the matter? She looks kind", she said. "That's rare coming from you, I mean yeah, she does looks kind. But there was something more about her." Conan added.
"She's mysterious." Haibara continued as she recalled the way they had eye contact, the woman didn't break her gaze but she felt no fear, it was warm.
"No point in dwelling on that. And tell me what's going on. You've been listening to something, I feel it. And plus, you're acting weird, something going on?" Haibara said again while raising her eyebrow. Conan looked startled and nervously laughed, "what...there's nothing...don't worry."
Haibara who obviously didn't believe him shrugged and walked as she felt no interest in what he's hiding.
"Conan! Ai! Let's go!" Ran's voice made the both of them look up. "Ai-chan, let's try the new recipe of Amuro-san. He said it'd be ready in a few days." Ayumi happily said while locking her arms with Haibara.
The other two boys grabbed Conan like a sack and dragged him. He fought for a bit and gave up when they didn't budge. They all laugh as they saw the whole scene.
Despite the chaotic moment Conan's face went serious as he remembered another important thing. Cassis.
~Few days later~
"I'm going back to the cafe now. You'll be discharge later but I won't be able to pick you up. Just ask your manager and call me, okay?" Amuro nagged.
"Yesss...mom!" Luna said with a chuckle.
The moment she heard the door close, Luna grabbed her phone. It rang for a second until the person she called finally picked up.
"Heyo!! I'm back to Japan. Surprise!! I've no time to tell you cause I was in the middle of something. Can you uhmm...pick me up later. I'm in the hospital." she cheerfully greeted to the other end.
A sigh was heard from the phone. The man replied to her, causing her to smile again.
"Okay, noted! I'mma tell you the details later. I'm telling you, it was so exhausting. Okay, so I'mma ring you up after I finish packing." She added.
After ending the call, she continued to pack her things while humming an old tune. It was a tone with a great mystery.
...
Luna walked out of the hospital, her heels clacking. She turned in an alley and spotted a black car parked nearby. She smiled.
She opened the door and sat at the passenger seat. She glanced at the man beside her. She waved her hands to get rid of the smoke and smiled.
"Miss me? Yeah...of course you do. Let's go!" she energetically said as the man didn't answer and drove the car away.
