"We should be quiet," Adrian said softly, already turning down the lamp. "We are practically in the vampires' den, and~~"
"Quiet," Lucien agreed, though he clearly had no intention of following his own advice.
Dante didn't say anything. He only crossed the room, took Lilian's face in both hands, and kissed her with the kiss of a man who had been holding back for long and was finally done waiting.
She kissed him back and pulled at his shirt.
His mouth was thorough and unhurried despite the want behind it, making a point with every movement. His hands slid from her jaw to her waist, pulling her in until there was no space left between them.
She could feel how much he wanted this, and she made a needy sound into his mouth.
"Quiet," Dante murmured against his lips, reminding her.
"You started it," she whispered back.
He kissed her again instead of answering.
