The target was a stone block on the far wall, about twenty feet away, marked with a red circle.
Lilian pushed.
The sphere hit the center of the circle and punched a clean hole straight through the block. Stone dust floated to the floor as the block snapped into two perfect halves.
Silence filled the room.
"Hmm," Dante said.
Lilian dropped her hands. "Is hmm a good thing or a bad thing?"
"It's precise," he said, walking over toward the block to check the damage. "Last week you were turning everything within three feet into dust. Today, you hit the bullseye and nothing else."
He knelt down, looking at the edges of the break. "Clean fracture line. You compressed the power correctly."
"So… it's good?"
"It's progress," he replied, which from Dante, that was basically a huge compliment.
