Chapter 222 - Chapter 0222 - Four-Eyed Fiend Bows to a New Boss

"Too much. This is too much."

The four-eyed Fiend slumped to the ground, pain written all over his face. This was probably the hardest card game he had ever played in his long demonic life. The whole thing was a complete joke. He had not been allowed to play at all.

How could something as outrageous as Fairy's Hand Mirror even exist in this world? Thinking about it, Yugen suddenly recalled that Fairy's Hand Mirror also seemed to be one of Yugi Muto's cards. Who said the Duel King's card pool was not powerful? It clearly had plenty of amusing little things that could put a smile on people's faces.

With everything settled, Yugen calmly walked forward. Yet with every step he took, the group of Fiend behind him shuddered and instinctively stepped back. From the scene alone, it was impossible to tell who the real Fiend was.

Some of the Fiend had wanted to help their boss up immediately, but when they saw the other side approaching, they stopped. They suddenly realized something was wrong. After this duel, their boss was no longer their boss.

The one standing before them was their new boss now. So the quicker-witted Fiend lackeys silently moved behind Yugen. In only a moment, it turned into Yugen leading a group of Fiend in surrounding the grief-stricken four-eyed Fiend on the ground, as if they were all bullying him together.

The four-eyed Fiend let out a long sigh and said nothing. There was nothing to say. A bet was a bet, and this place had always respected the strong. Since he had lost the duel, it was only natural for his underlings to switch sides. From today onward, this place was no longer his to control.

"I lost."

The four-eyed Fiend rose gloomily and lowered his head. "By the rules, you can take any one of my cards."

Yugen frowned. "Only one?"

The four-eyed Fiend's eyelid twitched again, and he stared at him in shock. What more did he want? Had that still not been enough?

"You just said the winner gets to make the rules, right? Then how about this." Yugen offered what he thought was a fine suggestion. "From today on, a Duel means wagering your entire Deck."

"What? But..." The four-eyed Fiend looked troubled. He glanced around, then lowered his voice. "Boss, you're new here, so maybe you don't know. Do you know why people like us who are serving time were not stripped of our Deck, and are even allowed to decide rank by strength inside this place?"

"Oh? Why is that?"

"Because that is what the the Church wants," the four-eyed Fiend said in a low voice. "This the Bunker is not just a prison. It also has a barrier that absorbs the energy of Duel. The energy produced when we Duel in here gets absorbed by the barrier and becomes nourishment for that sleeping Dark God."

"So they want to see us fight through Duel in here, but taking someone's life or taking their Deck through a Duel is forbidden."

"And what happens if someone breaks the rule?" Yugen asked.

"Huh?" The four-eyed Fiend froze for a moment. "Then of course they would be punished by the Bunker..."

"So is there anyone strong in here?"

That question left the four-eyed Fiend briefly at a loss. He thought it over, then said, "I do know that the Warden is very strong. He is on a completely different level from us. If things go too far, he might step in personally."

Yugen's eyes lit up. There was actually something that convenient? That made things even better. Once he finished taking all their Deck, he would not even need to waste time finding out who else in the Bunker could duel. Whoever came to him after that, he could just deal with them one by one.

"Alright, I understand." Yugen nodded in thanks. "Then hand over your Deck first."

The four-eyed Fiend was stunned. Was this man insane? Had he not understood? He was openly breaking the Bunker's rules. Was he not afraid of being punished?

"What? You have a problem with that?"

"No, no problem. I would not dare."

The four-eyed Fiend glanced at the "Gearfried the Iron Knight" beside him, which had not disappeared with the end of the Duel. The iron knight's sword was still resting against his neck. Did this look like a situation where he could object?

So Yugen took the Deck. There was probably nothing especially valuable in a Deck like this, but that did not matter. He had picked it up for free, and even if he sold all the cards for cash, it would still amount to a decent sum.

"Alright, then. You said there are a few other Duelist in the Bunker?"

"Yeah," the four-eyed Fiend said weakly.

"Lead the way," Yugen said.

The four-eyed Fiend was startled again, then instantly realized what this man intended. Was he really not going to let a single one of them off? His body started trembling on its own.

He suddenly began to wonder whether this really was a newly captured prisoner. Was this guy the Fiend here? No, wait, that seemed to be him instead.

"You don't want to?" Yugen frowned.

The iron knight's blade seemed to move another millimeter closer to the Fiend's throat. "I do! I absolutely do!"

The four-eyed Fiend hurried to his feet. Forget it, he was done caring. He was being forced, after all. It was not as if he were willingly betraying his fellow prisoners.

Besides, the pain and helplessness he had felt in that duel just now had been unlike anything he had ever experienced before. How could he be the only one allowed to enjoy that? Thinking of that, the four-eyed Fiend walked onward with the corners of his mouth slowly curling into a twisted grin.

Heh heh heh. No matter what, he had to let his Sworn Brothers experience the joy of Duel too.

Along the way, Yugen also asked these local Fiend about the situation here. "You're from outside?" the four-eyed Fiend asked in surprise. At the same time, he grew more and more curious about what kind of place could produce such an evil Duelist.

"Well, it is surprising that someone would still come here now," the four-eyed Fiend said. "Let me guess. Orichalcos invaded and slaughtered or captured the natives here?" Yugen asked.

"Exactly."

As he said that, another trace of hatred appeared in the four-eyed Fiend's eyes. "Wherever those lackeys of the Dark God go, they leave ruin behind. They burn, kill, loot, and do every evil thing they can."

The four-eyed Fiend ground his teeth in hatred. "Damn them. Those were supposed to be our exclusive rights!"

Yugen looked at him blankly. Exclusive rights to burning, killing, and looting?

"We noble Demon Tribe are the true rulers of this land. Everything here is our slave. That is how it has always been." The four-eyed Fiend spoke angrily. "Those evil people actually stripped us of the rights we were born with, seized our land, and enslaved us the same way we used to enslave those lowly natives!"
