Chapter 232 - Chapter 0232 - He Meets a Secretive Host

Fiend B spat to the side. "Nonsense. The ladies at Shadow Delight Pavilion are clearly more skilled. You Blood Charm types are obviously only interested because Blood Charm Palace has more of other people's wives."

Fiend A's face turned even redder. "And what's wrong with that?" He looked ready to start fighting again on the spot.

Yugen ignored the two of them and quietly stepped out of the room. Phantom Capital, was that a city of Spirit?

He got a map from the Bunker and spread it open to examine it. The place was not very far from here, and according to the markings, it seemed to be part of a city district already occupied by the the Divine Cult's dueling momentum.

No wonder the guards could still go there for entertainment. Yugen planned to be back in the dorm and in bed before eleven tonight, and he absolutely did not want to carry fatigue into tomorrow and disrupt his study schedule. Judging by the time he had left, he should still have enough to go take a quick look at that Spirit city.

He had already stripped this the Bunker clean of everything worth taking, so there was nothing left to collect. The only slight regret was that he had not managed to locate the real envoy, leaving his full collection progress stuck at ninety-nine percent.

Yugen set out at once and left the Bunker. With all the Deck removed, this the Bunker had basically been drained of its combat strength. When those Fiend discovered that Lord Divine Envoy had vanished into thin air, their expressions would definitely be amusing.

Following the map, Yugen quickly found the city the Fiend called "Phantom Capital." It was a district with a distinctly dark style. Unlike ordinary brick and stone buildings, the structures here were made of twisted metal and jagged stone blades, like spires rising from the depths of hell.

Faint blue and crimson light occasionally leaked through the buildings and cast a chilling glow over the streets. There were few pedestrians on the road, and most of those who passed by wore black cloaks or exposed patches of fierce-looking skin.

Every so often, a cold wind swept up dust and scraps of paper, spinning them into little whirlwinds along the street. "A city mainly inhabited by the Demon Tribe, huh." Yugen walked onward while looking around and observing the city's layout.

Then shouldn't it be called Fiend City? As he passed a plaza in the center, Yugen's eyes were immediately drawn to a very unusual building. It was blood red, as if soaked in fresh blood, and its top rose into a tall, sharp point with a design that looked both lavish and bizarre.

From the small Fiend with curious heart-shaped tails standing outside to solicit customers, and the flushed guests moving in and out, it was easy to guess that this was probably one of the places the two prison guards had been arguing about. Naturally, as a proper Duelist, Yugen had no interest in that sort of thing.

But then Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning spoke in a low voice by his ear. "The enemy's aura."

Yugen said, "Strictly speaking, we're already on enemy territory, so that shouldn't be strange, right?"

"No." Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning shook his head. "The aura of Orichalcos, and at least someone on the level of a regional leader. I've fought them for too long to mistake it."

"In there?" Yugen looked toward that enormous Fiend pleasure house and fell silent for a moment. Well, he had not been interested before, but in that case, he had no choice except to go in and take a look.

It was entirely for mission purposes. The Fiend at the entrance also seemed to notice this guest lingering outside. They exchanged a few words, and a moment later, another Demon Tribe walked out from inside.

Unlike the inhuman species outside that did not fit human tastes, this one was a pretty young woman in human form. They had probably judged from the customer's race that he would be more likely to prefer this type.

Her figure was graceful and alluring, and beneath the red moon her skin looked like velvet, delicate and faintly luminous. Her open collar revealed elegant collarbones and the smooth line of her neck, naturally drawing the eye downward toward what lay hidden beneath.

But despite that appearance, she obviously was not human either, only somewhat similar at first glance. A black tail with a heart-shaped tip swayed behind her.

Yugen understood at once. She was probably some special kind of Demon Tribe that fed on other people's life force. He had seen that kind before in animation.

There were serious animations like that too. "Sir, don't just keep wandering around outside. Would you like to come in and take a look?" That Demon Tribe was quite enthusiastic.

Then, seeing that this guest did not seem very interested, she kept pressing the sale. "If you're not interested in my type, that's fine. Our Blood Charm Palace has everything. We guarantee you'll be satisfied."

"What kind do you like? Fur or no fur? What race? Demon Tribe? Beast-Type? We even have dragons." Yugen fell silent.

Seriously, this really was a city of Fiend. Even their tastes were this wild.

"The guest has been waiting a long time~"

A few minutes later, the female Demon Tribe arrived at the private room Yugen had chosen inside Blood Charm Palace. She was dressed even more revealingly than she had been at the entrance, and she deliberately swayed her waist as she walked, making her black tail swing back and forth.

The room itself was fairly elegant, with a faint, strange fragrance lingering in the air. A wide, soft couch sat in the middle, thin curtains draped all around it, and a delicate table nearby held all kinds of unfamiliar snacks from the demon world.

"I need to ask two questions first." Yugen raised a hand, signaling for the Demon Tribe to stop.

She blinked twice and gave him a flattering smile. "You paid so generously, guest. Forget two questions, ask whatever you want. I promise I'll tell you everything I know."

Of course, it was not actually Yugen's money, since he did not have any Demon Tribe currency. He had spent the Warden's money instead.

Before leaving the Bunker, he had pocketed a thick stack of bills from Warden. He could not read Demon Tribe currency and had no idea how much it was worth, but judging from the way this female Demon Tribe had looked when she accepted it, as if Student Council were offering tribute to her real father, he guessed it had to be a lot.

"In the room directly above this one, who is the guest staying there?" Yugen asked.

"Eh?"

The female Demon Tribe froze for a moment, clearly not expecting that kind of question. After a brief hesitation, she shook her head.

"I don't know."

"Don't know, or don't want to say?"

She gave an awkward smile. "Guest, you should know the rules here. All guest information is secret, and every private room is completely separate."

"We guarantee that whatever happens inside any room stays in that room. Absolutely no Student Council outsider will know. After all, you would not want us casually leaking your information either, right?"

"Reasonable." Yugen thought for a moment. "So every room here is completely separate? Only one guest per room?"

"Of course."

She proudly patted her chest as she gave her guarantee, making it bounce noticeably. Yugen nodded.

"I understand."
