To Maddy, a total evaporation of the monster was a waste of a good meal. She needed those glowing pieces to absorb their traits. As the icons pulsed over the cubes of golden jelly and from the other slimes, her mouth watered. The village square had transformed from a battlefield into a vast, open-air larder.
"No sense in letting all this hard work go cold. Let's see what kind of new tricks you have for me."
She activated the skill she had been waiting for:
"INGEST!"
As she initiated the process, the entirety of Oozewell was instantly consumed by her "hellmouth," and the village was quickly cleared of the defeated slimes.
