The Alpha let out a muffled, agonizing roar. Its body thrashed, the internal heat from the static and Maddy's literal hunger becoming a volatile combination. With a violent, wet heave, the Sovereign Slime spat her out. Maddy flew through the air, her silhouette a dark blur against the gold-tinted sky, her entire cloak and hair covered in shimmering, golden goo.
While mid-air, she didn't scream or panic. Instead, she brought her hand to her face, licking her fingers with a look of pure, culinary revelation.
"Oh my gosh! It's exactly what I thought! It's like a honey infused mango panna cotta with a hint of... is that citrus? It's divine!"
She lifted her other finger, stained with the thick, radiant jelly, and dove it into her mouth. She sipped until the skin was perfectly clean, savoring the rich, mana-infused sweetness. Suddenly, she blinked and looked at her empty left arm.
