Chapter 67 - Chapter 67 A Great Victory

"Reel them in!"

Roger's voice, amplified by a tin megaphone, exploded in the silent bay, carrying an undeniable arrogance.

The next second.

On the deck of the explorer, the giant winches, modified by Roger and driven by a dozen pirates grunting and heaving, began to emit a grating "creak."

Beneath the surface, the thick ropes, soaked in special oil, were instantly pulled taut!

Massive nets, lurking at the bottom of the sea, sewn with chains and barbed hooks, burst out of the water like the awakening tentacles of the Kraken from the abyss!

"Splash!"

Huge waves surged!

The black pearl, with its swift, ghostly hull, had no time to react before it was caught full-on by this sudden, inescapable trap!

"Bang!"

With a dull thud, the bow of the black pearl slammed hard into a main net.

As the giant net groaned under the strain, the ship's speed plummeted.

The undead pirates on board were thrown off balance by the immense impact.

"What's going on?!"

Barraba's furious roar came from the black pearl, filled with shock and irritation.

However, his answer was even more giant nets rising from all directions!

One, two, twelve!

These "whaling nets," meticulously designed by Roger, wrapped tightly around the black pearl's hull, mast, and even its rudder from every angle!

On the explorer, Roger raised his telescope, leisurely admiring his masterpiece.

"Wow! This scene, it's got a bit of performance art to it, doesn't it?"

Under the moonlight, the undead pirates, who should have been menacing, now revealed their true skeletal forms.

They brandished rusty cutlasses and axes, frantically hacking at the giant nets entangled around the ship.

"Clang, clang, clang!"

Sparks flew.

However, while ordinary ropes could be cut, the interwoven iron chains and specially sharpened barbed hooks rendered their attacks futile.

A One-Eyed Man skeleton pirate struck a chain with his sword, directly chipping his blade.

Another, legless, tried to kick the fishing net with his wooden peg leg.

As a result, his peg leg got caught on a hook in the net, and he ended up hanging upside down from the ship's rail in a rather flamboyant posture, spinning continuously.

"Hahahaha! Look at that Big Fool Chun! He's dancing!"

Billy pointed at the unfortunate pirate, laughing until tears streamed down his face.

Hanson and the others were even worse; they directly carried a basket of rotten fruit from the cabin, fruit that had been stored for who knows how long and had already started to turn black.

They threw them at the trapped skeletons on the black pearl.

"Eat your grandpa's big orange!"

"Catch one and taste it!"

For a moment, the bay was filled with the uproarious laughter of the explorer's crew and Barraba's exasperated curses from the black pearl.

Was this a battle to the death between pirates?

This was clearly a one-sided, inhumane spectacle.

"You despicable coward!"

"If you have the guts, fight us honorably! What kind of hero uses such underhanded tactics!"

Barraba stood at the stern of the black pearl, trembling with rage.

His damned monkey was jumping up and down on his shoulder, emitting piercing screeches.

"Oh, oh, oh, getting angry?"

Roger put down his telescope, picked up the megaphone, and slowly retorted.

"All's fair in war, you know."

"Besides, why would I engage in close combat with a bunch of undead monsters? I'm not crazy."

"I, the Captain of the explorer, rely on wisdom and skill to make a living; fighting and killing is so undignified!"

Roger's words almost made Barraba spit out a mouthful of old blood.

Finally, after a standoff of over half an hour, seeing his beloved ship tied up like a giant Zongzi, and his useless subordinates entangled in nets, jumping up and down helplessly.

Barraba finally surrendered.

He chose to yield.

Half an hour later.

On the deck of the explorer, the atmosphere was a bit strange.

The undead pirates from the black pearl were all tied up and thrown onto the deck.

Under the moonlight, they still maintained their skeletal forms, which at least saved Roger the electricity cost of turning on lights.

Captain Hector Barbossa was also personally tied up by his old rival, Jack Sparrow, and thrown before Roger.

"I protest, Jack! You're using this to settle a personal grudge!"

"Why did you tie the rope around my butt cheeks?!"

"What if I need to relieve myself?!"

Roger looked contentedly at the legendary pirate of the Caribbean Sea before him.

"Protest denied."

"You're quite a handful!"

Hmm, he was a bit unsightly.

A mouth full of rotten teeth, he looked less lively than his monkey.

Of course, the monkey was also tied up now.

The little beast constantly bared its teeth, looking very fierce.

Roger cleared his throat, preparing to inventory the spoils of war.

He couldn't even be bothered to look at the resentful Hector Barbossa.

Instead, he addressed the man standing beside him, also named Barraba, who was his Vice Commander.

"Barraba!"

As soon as he spoke, something strange happened.

"Here!"

"What?!"

Two distinctly different but simultaneous responses instantly silenced the deck.

Roger's "Vice Commander" Barraba instinctively straightened his back and respectfully answered.

Meanwhile, the "legendary Captain" Barraba, tied on the ground, stubbornly raised his head and glared at Roger.

Roger: "?"

His brain froze for half a second.

He didn't think much of it; it was just a coincidence, after all, they shared the same name.

So Roger pointed at the pile of skeletons on the ground and continued to speak to his subordinate.

"Barraba, go, tell someone to keep a close eye on these guys, especially that monkey, don't let it run around."

"Yes, Commander-in-Chief!" His Barraba immediately accepted the order and turned to make arrangements.

"What do you want with me?! I'm telling you, even if you capture me, you can't order me around!"

The Barraba on the ground shouted again, sticking out his neck.

This time, everyone realized what was happening.

Billy and Hanson looked at each other, suppressing laughter, their shoulders shaking.

Jack Sparrow was even more exaggerated, directly sitting on a box, crossing his legs and shaking with laughter, his little finger extended.

Roger's face darkened.

Damn it!

These two guys were both named Barraba!

He took a deep breath, feeling his blood pressure rising.

He decided to try a different approach.

He extended his finger, pointing directly at his subordinate, and said, word by word.

"I! Am! Calling! You! Barraba!"

"Here! Commander-in-Chief!" Vice Commander Barraba quickly replied.

"Did you call me for something?" The Barraba on the ground chimed in again.

Roger: "I didn't call you!"

The one on the ground: "Then why did you call Barraba?"

Roger: "I called him! He's also called Barraba!"

The one on the ground: "I'm also called Barraba!"

"Pfft..."

Billy finally couldn't hold it in and was the first to burst out laughing.

Subsequently, the entire deck erupted in uproarious laughter.

The pirates laughed hysterically, rolling on the ground.

Roger felt his temples throbbing.

He felt like he wasn't commanding a pirate ship, but rather hosting a village-level two-person comedy show.

"All of you, shut the hell up!"

Roger roared, and the laughter abruptly ceased.

He walked up to the Vice Commander, who was already bewildered by the situation, and asked.

"What's your full name?"

"Reporting, Commander-in-Chief, I... I'm just called Barraba..."

Barraba answered, looking aggrieved.

Roger then walked to the legendary Captain on the ground, looking down at him: "And you?"

"Hector Barbossa!"

The legendary Captain stated his full name, with a hint of arrogance on his face.

Roger was completely speechless.

Alright, you guys are amazing.

He paced back and forth a few times, feeling that if he didn't solve this problem, these two Barrabas would drive him crazy.

Suddenly, he stopped, a flash of inspiration in his mind.

He walked back to Hector Barbossa on the ground, a benevolent smile on his face.

"Captain Hector, right?"

"From today onwards, for ease of management, I've decided to give you a new nickname."

"You, shall be called Big Fool Chun."

Hector Barbossa's face instantly turned green.

Although he didn't know what Big Fool Chun meant, from Roger's ill-intentioned gaze, he knew it was definitely not a good name.

Before he could protest, Roger turned around and patted his shoulder.

"As for you."

"From now on, you'll be called Fan Debiao."

"Com... Commander-in-Chief... This name..." The Vice Commander, Barraba, who had just been swindled out of gold by Roger, was almost in tears.

"Any objections?"

Roger glanced at both of them.

"Who has an objection?"

Seeing that Barraba was really about to cry, Roger thought for a moment and said.

"Never mind, I'm not a bad person."

"Hector, from now on, you'll be called Big Barraba."

Roger turned his head.

"You'll be called Little Barraba."

Little Barraba was a bit unconvinced.

"Why is he Big and I'm Little?"

"I object!"

"If you dare, let's compare!"

On the deck, earth-shattering laughter erupted once more.

Elizabeth stood at the cabin door, watching the absurd scene unfold before her.

For the first time, she felt.

Being a pirate... seemed quite fun...
