Cherreads

Chapter 95 - 95

The automatic door slid open silently.

A rush of cool, crisp air instantly enveloped Ethan, dispelling the humid, oppressive heat of New York's August afternoon.

The showroom was unusually quiet—so empty you could hear the echo of heels clicking on the polished floor.

Several sales consultants wearing identical black fitted business suits and projecting capable professionalism were scattered throughout, either focused on computers or quietly conferring with colleagues.

Million-dollar supercars naturally formed an invisible barrier, keeping most curious onlookers outside and invisibly elevating the brand's prestige.

He knew many luxury brands operated the same way.

A clear, pleasant voice rang out:

"Hello sir, welcome to Ferrari of New York. Do you have an appointment?"

A tall young woman with flawless makeup approached.

The tailored black suit perfectly accentuated her curves, sheer stockings wrapped around her long, straight legs, and classic red-bottomed Louboutins clicked with professional rhythm beneath her feet.

"Jessica?"

Ethan's eyes flickered slightly.

Though she was much younger than the image of the glamorous influencer in livestreams from his memory, he'd never mistake those sparkling eyes and that iconic face!

The woman in front of him was Jessica, who'd become a massive internet celebrity in his previous life.

What was she doing HERE?

A flash of surprise crossed Ethan's mind, then understanding clicked.

Before becoming a top streaming personality, she'd just been an ordinary girl in the vast sea of people, and she'd worked as a promotional model—naturally she might be gaining experience at a luxury car dealership.

Rumors about her from his previous life flashed through Ethan's mind at that moment.

"Sir?"

Seeing Ethan's eyes linger on her face for quite a while, Jessica maintained her professional smile and patiently asked again.

Ethan snapped back to attention, expression normal:

"No appointment."

Jessica pursed her lips in a polite smile:

"Alright, may I ask your name, sir?"

"Miller. Ethan Miller."

Jessica bowed slightly with an appropriate smile:

"Perfect, hello Mr. Miller. I'm Vanessa, sales consultant here. You can call me Vanessa."

Ethan thought to himself: So her screen name "Jessica" in the previous life had nothing to do with her real name!

She naturally guided:

"This should be your first time visiting our showroom, correct? Please follow me to the reception area—I'll give you a detailed introduction of our current models, and you can take your time..."

After Vanessa finished speaking, she moved to escort Ethan toward the reception area.

Ethan raised his hand to interrupt her, tone casual:

"No need. Take me directly to configuration. I've already decided which car I want."

Vanessa's steps stopped instantly. She turned to look at Ethan, a flash of incredulous surprise in her beautiful eyes:

"I'm sorry, you mean... you want to order a car directly?"

She'd only been with Ferrari for just over a month and knew how difficult closing these ultra-luxury car deals could be.

The customer in front of her was so young and dressed so casually.

Was this really not just an impulse?

Ethan's eyebrows raised slightly, tone carrying undeniable amusement:

"What? Your dealership doesn't support customers placing direct orders?"

"Of course we do."

Vanessa felt like she'd been hit by a massive stroke of luck.

She quickly smiled even more warmly, leaned forward slightly, and made an inviting gesture:

"Mr. Miller, please follow me—I'll take you to the configuration room to discuss in detail!"

Her heart beat faster involuntarily.

Ethan nodded and followed Vanessa into the configuration room.

Walking into the tech-filled, luxuriously appointed configuration space, Ethan looked around with genuine interest.

The large screen displayed a dazzling array of body colors, interior materials, and wheel styles.

Although he'd become wealthy and financially free in his previous life, he'd been busy with his career and rarely stepped into such exclusive brand spaces.

Right now.

He didn't hide his "newbie" status, even touching the carbon fiber trim samples on display with obvious curiosity.

Ethan was genuinely impressed—he didn't care about showing his inexperience in front of Vanessa. It was his first time in a place like this.

After all, only people who couldn't afford it worried about being seen through by sales.

When you had enough funds, being unsophisticated wasn't embarrassing—it was just being honest and straightforward.

There was a saying: confidence is the best accessory.

Vanessa waited patiently on the sidelines. After Ethan had looked around preliminarily, she pulled out a tablet with the Prancing Horse logo and asked respectfully:

"Mr. Miller, which Ferrari model interests you? The 458 Italia? F12berlinetta? Or perhaps..."

Ethan turned around, looked directly at her calmly, and clearly enunciated two words:

"LaFerrari."

Ethan knew this car was an absolute top-tier hypercar, and with various luxury taxes added, it would hit around $5 million.

Now that he had money, of course he had to get this ultimate toy.

He didn't give a damn what anyone thought about "nouveau riche"—he was living HIS life, wanted to enjoy himself, why should he care what others thought?

Although social media in his previous life made it seem like everyone had a Ferrari, he knew only a handful of LaFerraris were actually sold each year in the entire US market.

Let alone models like the LaFerrari.

The smile on Vanessa's face instantly froze, immediately replaced by intense surprise and a hint of awkwardness:

"The... LaFerrari?"

Ethan asked:

"Is there a problem?"

Vanessa explained carefully:

"Mr. Miller, I'm very sorry, but the LaFerrari, as our brand's absolute top-tier limited flagship hypercar, has very strict qualification requirements for purchase."

She spoke carefully.

Ethan's tone remained flat:

"It's a $50 million asset verification and a clean driving record, right?"

Vanessa nodded:

"Yes, but there are some additional requirements beyond what you mentioned."

"To be eligible to purchase a LaFerrari, applicants need to be established Ferrari customers—meaning you must currently own at least two limited-edition Ferrari models, or own five Ferrari flagship production models. After meeting this prerequisite, asset verification is typically required proving liquid investable assets of no less than $250 million to even qualify to join the waitlist for factory allocation."

She finished in one breath, nervously observing Ethan's reaction.

Ethan frowned—he hadn't known all these details. Social media had really misled people in his previous life.

He looked at Vanessa:

"If I want to buy the LaFerrari, is there any other path besides meeting those conditions?"

"Well..."

After thinking for a moment, Vanessa asked cautiously:

"Are you genuinely prepared to order the LaFerrari?"

"Absolutely."

Ethan's answer was short and powerful, radiating undeniable confidence.

"Asset verification shouldn't be an issue!"

Vanessa was still a bit uncertain and asked carefully.

"Definitely not a problem."

Ethan smiled faintly, completely unconcerned.

Vanessa looked into his deep, calm eyes—that unquestionable determination made her heart skip.

She hesitated no longer:

"Please wait a moment—I need to consult with my supervisor about this situation!"

After saying that, she quickly left the configuration room, her pace noticeably faster than when she'd entered.

This situation was clearly beyond what a newcomer like her could handle alone.

A short while later.

The configuration room door opened.

Vanessa walked in with a middle-aged man wearing glasses and projecting calm, capable energy.

The man had a professional, warm smile and proactively extended his hand to Ethan:

"Hello Mr. Miller! It's an honor to meet you! I'm David, sales manager here."

David glanced at Vanessa beside him, then turned to Ethan with respectful professionalism:

"I understand you're interested in the LaFerrari, though you don't currently meet our standard qualification requirements?"

David continued:

"Before proceeding, we'll need to coordinate asset verification—this isn't a matter of distrust, of course, just standard procedure."

Ethan could tell from David's attitude there was definitely a path forward.

If there was no way at all, they wouldn't be wasting time.
