Sansa's POV
"If Prince Lucien lost everything tomorrow…"
I paused, watching closely as her expression tightened.
"…would you still choose him over Koa?"
Her face fell instantly.
Gotcha.
Natalie smiled uneasily, her gaze darting between the two men for a fraction too long.
And just like that, it was painfully obvious where she stood and everything she represented.
Falsehood.
She would never say her answer out loud.
I knew for a fact Natalie would never stay with Lucien if everything fell apart for him, if he lost the title, the power, the wealth, and became just another nobody.
But I also knew she would never admit that in front of either of them.
Not when the truth would bruise both their egos.
And Natalie, being Natalie, always found a loophole whenever she was cornered.
So before she could dodge it, I smiled sweetly and cut in.
"Sorry, my bad."
Her glare sharpened, but I only smiled wider.
"Let me rephrase that. That came out too soon."
