Sansa's POV
The cool afternoon light hit me as soon as I pushed through the inner doors of the cinema. The plush red carpet and dimmed lighting gave way to tiled floors and a wide lobby that smelled of coffee and popcorn. My heels clicked steadily as I crossed the short space and stepped outside, closing the glass door behind me.
I glanced at my phone again. The screen still showed the message from Mr. Alex Colton:
Come outside. Let's not cause a scene.
It wasn't a mistake. It wasn't a casual text. He'd chosen his words.
I'd been expecting something like this. Alex had been circling for weeks, and I'd known my presence in the city would eventually draw him out. It wasn't fear I felt as I slipped my phone into my bag, but the quiet, steady alertness I'd been trained to carry.
