Chapter 103 - Last Moment

Sansa's POV

I was not sure how long I sat there on the floor.

At some point, the crying stopped being loud and turned quiet, the kind that did not come with sobs anymore but still left my chest tight and my head heavy. My back was pressed against the side of the couch, my legs folded awkwardly beneath me, and my eyes were fixed on nothing in particular. I knew it had been a while because my body started to protest before my thoughts did. My lower back ached, and the dull numbness in my legs slowly crept upward until shifting felt unavoidable.

I wiped my face with the back of my hand and let out a tired breath. My eyes burned from crying too much, and my head felt thick, as if I had not slept in days. When I finally pushed myself off the floor, my knees complained as I stood, and I had to pause for a second just to steady myself.
