Usually, I hated Mondays. They dragged on with tedious work and endless repetition, but this Monday was different.
For once, I welcomed the monotony. Work meant distraction, and distraction meant I didn't have to think about him. About Alex.
Especially after what went down between us yesterday. I thought after escaping his presence, I would stop. But he was consistent on my mind till I finally went to bed.
Even when I did manage to sleep, he followed me there—haunting me in dreams I had no business having. Dreams that left my panties wet by the time the morning light touched my face.
So yes, tedious or not, I was glad for something to keep my hands busy, anything to pull me out of my head.
Although maybe my mind wouldn't have been thinking about Alex if Jason had stayed like he said he would, but just when he started to apologize for his shortcomings, his phone rang. Jason being Jason, came back and told me he had to go… that something important had come up.
