Naruto: Young Teacher
Chapter 21
After celebrating at the yakiniku restaurant, Ren, Ino, and Hinata moved to a quiet park nearby. The evening breeze was calm, and the three of them sat together on a wooden bench, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere after a long day.
Ren leaned back slightly and glanced at the two girls beside him. "So, how is your training going?" he asked casually.
Hinata and Ino exchanged a quick glance before Hinata spoke first. She folded her hands politely as she explained her progress.
"My fire and lightning nature transformations are close to Jonin level now," Hinata said softly. "My wind style will likely reach that level soon as well. My Twin Lion Fists are nearly complete, and I also asked Kurenai-sensei to begin theoretical medical training."
Ino cleared her throat proudly before adding her own update. "Ahem… my wind, earth, and water styles are already at Jonin level," she said confidently. "Right now, I'm focusing on practicing the seals you taught me."
Ren nodded with a satisfied smile as he listened to both of them. Their growth had been steady, and they were progressing faster than most shinobi their age.
"That's good," Ren said seriously after a moment. "But from now on, I want you two to stop relying on me completely."
Both girls looked at him in surprise as his tone became more serious.
"I'll still help you when needed," Ren continued calmly. "But you need to start thinking creatively and developing your own techniques. Begin experimenting and creating your own jutsu."
Ino and Hinata both nodded in agreement, understanding what he meant. If they wanted to become truly strong shinobi, they needed to grow beyond simply following Ren's guidance.
The conversation slowly came to an end as the night grew darker. Ren smiled lightly before the three of them headed toward their respective homes.
The invisible barrier surrounding the area quietly faded away as they left. Ren wasn't foolish enough to discuss sensitive matters like their training or abilities in the open without protection.
The next morning, Ren woke up early and began his usual physical training routine. After finishing his exercises, he washed up and went straight to eat breakfast.
Unlike Naruto, Ren had no intention of starving himself for Kakashi's bell test. After eating properly, he also packed some extra food for Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura.
Once everything was ready, Ren headed toward Team 8's training ground. When he arrived, he casually waved at Hinata, Kiba, and Shino while scanning the area around them.
Kiba looked confused when Ren suddenly glanced toward a nearby tree. A moment later, Kurenai stepped out from behind it, dispelling the genjutsu she had been using to observe them.
"Good observation," Kurenai said calmly. "Ren, Hinata, and Shino managed to see through that genjutsu."
Ren stepped forward politely and greeted her. "Kurenai-sensei, I'm Ren. I'll be working with Teams 7, 8, and 10 as a support ninja. My specialties are support techniques and taijutsu."
He paused briefly before adding another request.
"I'd also like to train in medical techniques alongside Hinata if possible."
Kurenai nodded slightly at his request. "That's fine, but your chakra control—"
She suddenly stopped speaking mid-sentence as her eyes widened in shock.
In Ren's palm, a perfectly spinning sphere of blue chakra had formed. The concentrated energy rotated rapidly, producing a faint humming sound.
"Rasengan?" Kurenai blurted out in disbelief.
Hinata blinked in surprise as well. She hadn't expected Ren to reveal the Rasengan so openly in front of everyone.
Kurenai stared at Ren with clear shock on her face. "How do you know that technique?"
Ren smiled casually as if it were nothing special. "I recreated it after reading about the Fourth Hokage's jutsu in a textbook," he said calmly. "It was described as a spinning ball of chakra, so I experimented until I figured it out."
As he finished speaking, Ren subtly winked at Hinata.
Hinata immediately understood the signal and formed her own Rasengan. A second swirling sphere of chakra appeared in her hand.
"I can use it too, Kurenai-sensei," Hinata said gently. "Ren taught both me and Ino."
Kurenai stared at the two of them in stunned silence.
"Y-you too?" she asked weakly.
Hinata nodded with a small smile.
After several seconds of processing what she had just seen, Kurenai sighed deeply. Her entire evaluation had already been overturned.
"Forget the test," she said finally. "You've all passed."
She paused before giving the next instruction.
"Team 8 will report to the mission hall tomorrow at eight in the morning."
With that, Kurenai disappeared using the Body Flicker Technique.
Kiba and Akamaru blinked in confusion, completely unable to understand what had just happened. Even Shino remained silent, though his glasses reflected a faint glimmer of interest.
Ren gently took Hinata's hand before turning back toward them.
"We're heading out," Ren said calmly. "See you later, Kiba, Shino."
Kiba scratched his head awkwardly. "Uh… yeah. Bye."
Once they were outside the training ground, Hinata looked at Ren curiously.
"Why did you reveal the Rasengan like that?" she asked softly.
Ren grinned mischievously.
"Create a shadow clone and teleport to the safe house," he said.
Before Hinata could ask anything else, Ren formed a shadow clone and instantly disappeared using the Flying Thunder God Technique.
A moment later, he appeared inside their hidden safe house on a deserted island where they secretly trained.
Hinata blinked for a moment before forming her own shadow clone. After focusing briefly, she activated the Flying Thunder God technique using the chakra she had stored in a marked kunai.
Her teleportation took a few seconds longer, but she eventually appeared inside the safe house as well.
Ren immediately grabbed her hand and began pulling her toward another room.
"Come on," he said excitedly. "We're going to the sealing chamber. It's time to solve your chakra problem."
Despite all the talent enhancements she had gained, Hinata still had limitations. She could create around five or six shadow clones for training, but using the Flying Thunder God multiple times quickly drained her chakra.
Even teleporting to the safe house required her to store chakra beforehand inside a marked kunai.
Hinata quietly followed Ren into the sealing chamber and sat down as instructed.
Ren carefully began placing a seal on her forehead using precise chakra control. The seal was upgraded version of Seal, it could hold more chakra enough for Hinata to use long distance Teleportation multiple times.
"Done," Ren said after finishing the final stroke of the seal.
"This seal will store more unused chakra than the privious seal. And it's faster at activating."
Hinata touched her forehead gently and smiled brightly.
"It's amazing," she said happily.
Ren laughed lightly as he stood up.
"Alright, let's go. I still have Kakashi-sensei's test to deal with," he said. "After that, I need to upgrade the seal on Ino."
Hinata nodded and stood beside him.
A moment later, Ren activated the Flying Thunder God and teleported both of them back to Konoha. After arriving, Hinata headed toward her home while Ren continued toward Training Ground Seven.
The seal Ren had placed contained several microscopic concealment seals layered within it. To normal sight, the seal was already invisible, making it nearly impossible to notice.
Even the Byakugan would need careful focus to detect it.
Combined with the gravity seal Hinata already possessed, the new seal further strengthened her overall abilities.
Ren's Six Eyes allowed him to design and place extremely complex micro-seals with near-perfect precision. Techniques like this were nearly impossible for other shinobi to replicate.
