Huang Shi chose not to say anything instead, his golden eyes and impassive face spoke all the words he needed to say, as crimson lightning flickered all around his foot, slowly causing parts of the assassin's body to disintegrate into pieces of flesh
The leader of the trio, the only surviving member of the assassination group, trembled all over, his face was pale white, and fear was the only expression on his face as he stammered
"I-I can give you information, I can tell you who sent me, just please let me go…"
Huang Shi once again chose silence, his eyes flashing with bright light as he analyzed the situation with cold calm
Alright, these guys are sword users, I remember Fang Lei telling me that any decent swordsman around Reshi City most likely belong to the Iron Cloud Sect..
Assuming that these guys are from the Iron Cloud Sect, what could they possibly want to achieve by assassinating one of the three heirs of the Azure Dragon Sect?
And more importantly why are they doing it right now?

The assassin leader started to tremble as his eyes squinted filled with fear, just from this reaction alone, Huang Shi instantly knew that his guess was right and that those assassins were sent by the Iron Cloud Sect
Alright now that I've confirmed that those three idiots were from the Iron Cloud Sect, I now have a few guesses as to why they made a move right now
First, they probably trying to probe our response, testing whether or not we are strong and stable as we were previously now that the ancestor is out of commission
Second, I assume they tried to rope the Crimson Sand Sect into this entire thing, but failed, this must mean that either negotiations between their two factions fell through or…
There is something in the Crimson Sand Sect that caused the Iron Cloud Sect to back off their plans of roping them into this mess… causing them to take this risk on their own!
Third, they must have chosen to assassinate me because I am the weakest link! I am the heir with the least amount of status and potential among us three brothers therefore if I lose my life and die, even if there is gonna be some level of backlash it won't be nearly as big as compared to if they tried to kill my older brothers
With these thoughts inside of his head, he opened his mouth to speak, asking another question
"What happens if you had managed to kill me tonight and they find out that it was caused by the Iron Cloud Sect, are you not afraid of war erupting between our two factions or… could it be that what you want is exactly that and right now you are just probing for a response?

Just as Huang Shi said these words, lightning had actually started to flash across the empty night sky, as the dark clouds that had shrouded everything in darkness, started to drop with the pitter patter of rainfall
As the rain fell across his body, the water dripping across his face, causing a bit of a chill to appear on his body, he shook his head as without even bothering to wait for a response he raised his foot and smashed straight down at the assassin's spine, crushing it into pieces as he screamed out in pain
"AHHHHHHHHHH WHY! WHY ARE YOU KILLING ME! I HAVEN'T EVEN SAID ANYTHING YET! MONSTER! YOU FUCKING MONSTER! YOU DESERVE TO DIE A MISERABLE DEA-"

A flash of crimson lightning erupted from his foot, instantly destroying the assassin's fleshy body as the destruction attribute erased the last traces of him from existence, before long a swathe of golden flames suddenly appeared all around his body, burning off all the blood and gore that had been left behind from the fight, shining a golden hue on his otherwise impassive face
The Iron Cloud Sect has made their move and they have done it by trying to take my life, they do not yet know whether or not that is an act of supreme insight or an act of utter folly
They will soon find out..

As lightning and rain fell from the heavens, the azure dragon sect swiftly closed their doors and shut down their businesses for the night as everyone in the sect collectively decided to take a break for tonight because of the sudden downpour
The lanterns which had previously lit up almost the entire sect, making it look like a sea of glowing light, suddenly dimmed, as almost half of them disappeared shrouding the place in darkness
"It has been twice now that an attempt on my life has been done… one of them is from the disciplinary hall of the azure dragon sect.. the other is done by the iron cloud sect due to their own greed and political machineries…"
