As Huang Li's arm made contact with Li Mei, lightning erupted outward from his body, snaking toward her in an attempt to block her movements as he begged.
"Mei'er... please just listen to me, okay?"
Li Mei didn't respond; instead, her now purple eyes shone with a powerful light as she waved her free hand and pointed at Huang Li.
"Umbral Capture."
WHOOSH
Instantly, a wave of purple shadows extended forth from her finger and wrapped around Huang Li's body. The weight that had previously started to disappear from his body now came back with a vengeance, and his body weight instantly doubled.
However, despite the increasing struggle to move his body, Huang Li didn't budge as his blue eyes shone with a terrifying resolve.
RUMBLE
Snakes of lightning appeared all over his body, reinforcing and strengthening it to an exaggerated degree. It was to the point that the purple shadows wrapped around his body started to squirm from the pressure.
Huang Shi, who was already injured from Li Mei's previous outburst, grit his teeth as he once again waved his hands.
The shining golden light became even more powerful; in fact, if it wasn't for the cloaking barrier and the formations present within the courtyard, the entire sect would have noticed a seemingly glowing golden sun in the middle of the night.
Li Mei grit her teeth as sweat dropped down her beautiful face. It was clear that her goal of fighting Huang Li and him at the same time, while also ensuring that neither was injured in the process, was becoming a struggle for her.
This was especially the case because Huang Li was still slightly more powerful than her due to his higher cultivation base. The limitations she placed on herself caused a much higher burden on her ability to accomplish her goal of escaping.
Despite this, she didn't give up. Her anger and sorrow at suddenly finding out that the truth she previously believed about her sister's death was false caused her logical mind to lose out to her emotions.
"Just let me go! I need to kill those bastards that dared to cause my sister to die! If you don't let me go right now, I will hate you!"
With this, Li Mei once again erupted with a powerful wave of spiritual energy as purple shadows appeared all over the surroundings, rumbling the ground and trees within the estate.
However, instead of summoning more shadows on the ground—which she realized was ineffective because of the presence of his golden light—she instead gathered all of the purple shadows toward herself. They instantly wrapped around her body, forming a sort of purple shadow armor.
The purple shadow armor was slick and shiny; it looked like something out of a medieval history book but was slim fit and narrow, like it was tailored made for her exquisite form, the visor completely covered up her head, except for her purple eyes and a bit of her now purple gold hair which flew freely through the air even without much wind.

With this, her left hand which was still free, was now barreling towards Huang Li, intending to push him off of her body with her new found strength, clearly Li Mei had lost her mind out of anger, and was now using just a slight bit of force to escape her father's clutches.
Huang Li on the other hand, didn't have a solution to this problem, it was clear that he didn't want to hurt his beloved daughter, and so retaliating against this attack was out of the option, however he also knew that if he just defended against this attack, he would be instantly blasted off his feet and Li Mei would use this opportunity to escape.
"Mei'er! Please… just listen to my explanation okay? I promise you I had my reasons for not telling you…"
Li Mei acted like she hadn't heard anything, as her fist came barreling towards Huang Li, however right when she was about to hit him, she suddenly heard a cold voice erupt out from him in the distance.
"Li Mei! Do you even know what you're doing right now?! Are you really trying to punch grandfather and cause him to be injured just because you want to fucking die out there?! Is that what you want to happen?! Do you want us to lose you too?!"
Li Mei grit her teeth, her purple eyes flashing with hesitation as she looked towards the source of the voice, it was a man with golden eyes, his entire body glowing with a powerful golden light that was constantly trying to breakthrough her armor.
"You don't understand! You weren't there when we grew up! So you don't understand how much she means to me… I-I… need to take revenge!"
BOOM!
Finally Li Mei's fist hit Huang Li square in the face as a wave of purple shadows clashed with flashing azure lightning, before long, Huang Li who didn't even bother to defend himself because of the pain it would cause to his heart, was sent flying into the distance, his entire body embedded within the pond of the estate as a huge wave of water erupted.
SPLASH
Li Mei breathed heavily, her spiritual energy starting to become exhausted, as this time the person that was staring right at her was not her father, but her lover.
Huang Shi stared straight at Li Mei, his expression complicated and filled with pain, it was clear now that he had made a huge mistake in telling Li Mei about the circumstances of his mother's death so suddenly, his flaw was in the fact that he didn't truly understand the depth of the relationship between his mother and her sister.
Fuck, I let my emotions get the best of me and vented to my lover which was okay, but I fucking spoke too much and now Mei'er is on a damn rampage fuck.
Not only that but unlike my grandfather I can't hold Mei'er back by myself, my cultivation base it too damn weak.
