Amanda was already waiting at the park bench near the old fountain. She sat with her knees drawn up, phone clutched in both hands like it was the only thing keeping her grounded. Her eyes were red-rimmed, cheeks streaked with the kind of tears she hadn't bothered to wipe away. She still didn't want to believe anything that was happening, however with the reaction she was getting from Damian and Ethan had been nothing short of suspicious.
She didn't want to jump to conclusions, not yet, she would discuss with Damian and Ethan first before she draws any conclusions.
When she saw Damian approaching, Zayn a step behind him, she stood up fast, her face hardened, but it wasn't anger. She wasn't angry, not even a bit. If anything she was more hurt and disappointed than angry.
"Zayn," she said, voice flat. "Give us a minute."
Zayn's hand tightened on Damian's for a second. He glanced at Damian, searching his face, then back at Amanda.
