The more difficult information gathering is, the more likely it is that you will rely on the decisions of others.
But for Zane, the opportunity to gather information came itself.
The golden haired woman was a worker in High Lumen Bastion. The city which existed only for the elites of the world. She was responsible for verifying who enters and leaves the place.
The woman herself looked one of the elites but the way she talked to Zane and the others, she didn't come off as arrogant and rude like the rich.
Nevertheless, Zane had no intentions to test his luck so he tried his best to end his talk with the woman and let her go. He didn't know what would happen if she found out he was a gutterborn, that too Zane Atlas.
But as she was leaving, she turned to them once more and asked a question that changed Zane's mind.
The question being…
"Do you happen to know any Flamekeepers named Horum?"
Zane's pupils widened.
And not just Zane, the woman took everyone off guard.
